7. Fisherman
Do you love to fish? Do you crave adventure? Well, that’s good, because the type of fishermen we’re talking about aren’t the ones you see sitting around your local lake or out on the dock at the nearest pond. No, the fishermen we’re talking about are the ones who hit the open seas aboard vessels specifically for fishing, no matter the weather or danger that presents itself. A lot of times, you only have to work part of the year to make the big money, too. On average, if you’re willing to sign on for a job like this, you could net (pun intended) about $42,000 (£34,000). So get your inner thrill seeker on and start making some excellent money today!

6. Crime Scene Cleaner
Hey, are you good at cleaning? Do you have a strong stomach and don’t get too phased by things like gore and guts? How about looking into crime scene cleaning because, you know, you can make good money doing it! Once the police or whoever is handling an investigation is done with a scene, they need someone to come in and clean it up and get the whole mess sorted out! That’s where the cleaners come in. You’d have to be willing to work crazy hours, as crime isn’t really a 9-5 thing, but if you can get past that, the money is probably worth it. Pay typically falls somewhere between $35,000 (£29,000) and $80,000 (£65,000). Could you do it?

5. Plumber
Yeah, we know, plumbers catch a lot of flak, and it’s probably not the most appealing job in the world. You never hear kids say, “I want to be a plumber when I grow up!” Well, you might if their father or grandfather or someone they look up to was or is a plumber. But what if we told you that plumbers actually make pretty good money? Would you be interested then? Seriously, the guys who work on your pipes and even your toilet can pull in about $55,000 (£45,000) in the United States if they’re experienced! Not too bad, eh? Shall we all become plumbers?

4. Garbage Collector
You wouldn’t think that driving around in those noisy trucks and picking up people’s trash would pay all that much, would you? Well, guess what? Sanitation workers and women are actually well-paid and depending on where they work they could make more money than even you do! For disposing of things people no longer need, the average pay for a garbage collector is $30,793 (£23,319), but some garbage collectors in New York City make roughly $112,000 (£91,000) for collecting people’s garbage during the graveyard shift between 7 pm and 3 am. If we were guaranteed to make $112,000 for picking up trash, we would no longer be writing YouTube videos. Just saying.

3. Psychic
Do you possess powers or supernatural abilities? Can you communicate with spirits, see the future, or read people’s auras? If so, you may be able to make a pretty decent living using those talents, and all you have to do is put yourself out there and start finding business! According to the website, psychic mediums can make an average of about $57,000 (£47,000) a year. Would you have ever guessed that to be true? Yeah, we wouldn’t have either.

2. Sommelier
Do you have an interest—no—do you have a love and a passion for wine that you’d love to be able to turn into a job that can support you and your family? Guess what? You’re in luck! Sommeliers, on average, make about $30,000 (£25,000) a year, but with training and perseverance, you could become a master or advanced sommelier and really begin making some unbelievable money. Like $78,000 (£64,000) to $150,000 (£122,000) unbelievable… for working with wine. Sommeliers are usually employed by fine dining establishments and are responsible for wine storage, procurement, and giving advice on all kinds of wine to customers, as well as sharing their immense knowledge on the drink. Wino? Here’s the perfect career for you.

Petroleum engineering relates to the production of hydrocarbons, namely crude oil or natural gas. Once oil and gas exploration has taken place it needs to be extracted from the source and refined into a usable energy source. That’s where petroleum engineers come in. Petroleum engineering focuses requires an in-depth understanding of oil, water and gas within porous rock at high pressure. Graduates of a 4 year degree in petroleum engineering will need a solid understanding of math and science and be prepared to work in far flung places. Oil and gas workers can be offshore for months working on drilling rigs, refineries, and pipelines. After 10 or 12 years a petroleum engineering expert can expect to almost double that salary earning up to $185,000 per year making this the most lucrative career path on our list.

This is a rundown of the most costly autos sold in auto barters through the customary offering process, that of those that pulled in feature snatching attention, essentially at the high cost, their new proprietors have paid. A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO serial number 3851GT sold at Bonham's Quail Auction on August 14, 2014, for US$38,115,000.00 (counting purchasers premium), breaking the record already held by a 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196R race auto, sold for a record $31 million at a bartering in England on July 12, 2013. As a finance major, you’ll be working with a lot of other people’s money; and it’s no surprise that some of that money would fall into your pocket. You’ll get a better start in your finance career if you do a few internships in your field. Once you do, you can expect to earn about $46,500 to start and $87,300 at mid-level.

Economics is another college degree that leaves you with tons of career options, from banking to finance to education and government. If none of those interests you, you can also land jobs in law (with further education), consulting, public policy and research. Starting salary for those majoring in economics is around $45,000 but by mid career, you see a hefty boost to around $95,000.

Before you immediately pass over math as a major, think about this: those who major in math have some of the lowest unemployment rates of any other major — 95% of math majors are employed. They are also quite well compensated for their work, with a starting salary of around $47,000-$52,600 and a mid-career salary of $89,900-$98,600.

If you haven’t noticed it yet, it pays to be very good with numbers.
