15 Clear Signs Your Phone Was Hacked

How to Know if You've Been Hacked? If you think your smartphone is your private zone, you may be very wrong. So far, there is no such device that can’t be hacked.

We often see our smartphones as our secure digital havens. We use them to keep our most personal information: from pictures to credit card details. Some people even save their passwords in Notes. That’s a bit too much, right? You probably have all your text and email communication, including work stuff, based or synchronized on your phone.

To reduce the potential risks, we figured out three things: the ways your phone can be hacked, how to recognize them, and how to protect your phone from hackers.

TIMESTAMPS
You find new apps on your phone (you didn't install them) 3:45
Some apps stop working like they used to 4:20

SUMMARY
What should you if you see any of these signs on your phone?
Try running mobile anti-malware software, delete all the apps you have not installed, and unreliable apps eating too much traffic. If it is possible, you can also reset your phone and go back to original settings. If that does not seem enough to you, consult a professional.

How can anyone steal your personal data?
- The easiest way is by taking possession of your phone for a few minutes and installing spy apps such as Spy Phone App, Spyzie, or Spyera. These apps are basically mobile trackers that record the incoming and outgoing phone calls and text messages. They can track GPS location, online activity and communication going on Whatsapp, Facebook, Viber, and Skype.
- Via an unprotected Wi-Fi network in a cafe or airport. The means of public Wi-Fi, you share all your traffic with everyone around you. Think of it next time you want to “Check in” somewhere exotic.
- When charging your phone via an unknown USB (even in an airplane or a car), there is a risk that all your data will be revealed and transferred. That’s a lot of information that can be used against you.
- SMS phishing. This happens when you receive a message with a link saying that it is, for example, your bank statement, a money transfer, or your photos. So you click it, download the file, and then reveal all your phone contents to hackers.
- With the help of the Signalling System SS7, used by the majority of telephone stations all over the world, hackers can read your text messages, listen to your phone calls, and track your cell phone locations. But if you are not a celebrity, there is nothing to worry about.

Summary:
6. Your Battery. If your smartphone starts to run out of battery really quickly it could be a sign that there is an unknown app running in the background of your phone. (Potentially one of those spy apps that was previously mentioned.)

5. Your phone keeps restarting or doing odd things. If your phone constantly restarts itself, turns off, starts apps and/or dials random numbers it could be a hacker trying to infiltrate your phone.

4. Your phone is warm. If your iphone, android, or other device is constantly warm or hot despite you not using it that much, it could be another sign that there is an unidentified app running in the background. Generally, a phone should never be overheating. In the event that you do use your phone a lot, mobile devices in general should not get very warm.

3. Unknown numbers. If there are unknown numbers in your ‘recent calls’ that could be a sign that someone is tinkering with your smartphone from abroad. If for some unusual reason you start to notice that there are a strange amount of unexplained unknown calls in your list, consider it a red flag.

2. Controlling your phone. If you cannot turn off your cell phone or control simple apps like brightness and the camera then it could be a hacker behind the deficiencies. You should always be able to have full control of your smartphone.

1. Noises or echoes. And finally, if you regularly hear noises or echoes during your phone calls in places where that normally doesn’t occur then that could be suspicious as well. Echoes during phone calls could mean that someone is listening in on your conversation.

15 Clear Signs Your Phone Was Hacked

9 Signs Your Phone Isn't Your Private Zone Anymore

If you think that your phone is your own private zone, you may be very wrong. So far, there is no such device that can’t be hacked. Viruses pose a serious danger to modern smartphones. They can cause such problems as personal data theft, enormous phone bills, and malfunction of different apps. Luckily, there are ways to recognize that a virus has infiltrated your device.

Do you know, for example, that your smartphone isn't supposed to be hot to the touch? But viruses and worms use your smartphone's resources, putting a serious strain on the gadget. As a result, infected phones often suffer from overheating.

You experience disruptions during calls 1:56
You notice mysterious outgoing calls 2:30
There are constant pop-ups 3:08
There are unfamiliar apps on your phone 3:46
Your gadget overheats 4:13
Your smartphone uses much more data than usual 4:41

SUMMARY:
- If you begin to notice that the battery of your smartphone depletes faster than before, the device may be infected with a virus or malware.
- If your calls often drop or you have strange disruptions during conversations, this should ring alarm bells.
- You should be suspicious if you start to notice outgoing phone calls you didn’t make or texts you didn’t send. If no friend or family member used your phone, the chances are high that your gadget is infected with a virus.
- In most cases, constant ads and pop-ups appearing on the screen are sure signs of a smartphone virus. You probably downloaded an app with adware on your gadget.
- A very common sign of a virus is the appearance of unfamiliar apps on your phone. You know for sure that you haven't installed them, but they do exist.
- If your smartphone is infected with a virus, you might spot a noticeable increase in data usage. A malicious bug can use the data source of your gadget to send out information and show pop-up ads.
- An enormous phone bill is a sure sign that your smartphone has caught a virus. Some malware sends out a huge number of messages until you're left with a significant phone bill.
- If a game you're playing on your smartphone suddenly crashes for the first time, it's suspicious. But if this starts to occur repeatedly, something has definitely gone wrong.
- A Trojan virus can uninstall apps on your gadget or make your phone send expensive texts.
- Worm is typically spread with the help of text messages. The worst part is that it doesn't need any interaction with a user to be activated.
- Ransomware disables a gadget and makes its owner pay ransom to regain control over their phone.
- Don't let your device download any apps until you enter a password.
- Install a good anti-virus. Free inbuilt programs aren't bad, but they aren't really effective. If you use the internet on a daily basis, you should have a professional anti-virus.

10 Clear Signs your phone was Hacked ! Hindi

Hello Dosto,

How to Know if someone is Hacking your phone ? In Hindi

If you think your Mobile phone cannot be hacked, you may be very wrong. So far, there is no such device that can’t be hacked. In this video you will see the ways your phone can be hacked, how to recognize hackers, and how to protect your phone from Hackers.

So below are the 10 signs that your phone was hacked.

1. Slow performance
Malware running in the background can impact the performance of your device.

2. Bad battery life
Android users have a good idea about how long their battery should last. Malware can give itself away when batteries mysteriously drain quicker than usual.

3. New apps
If you have a new app that you don't remember installing, it may mean it has been hacked. Sophisticated malware can take over an entire device and install malicious apps to track what you are doing, access your GPS or your personal information.
Some apps may also stop working properly or suddenly stop working. This may be a sign the malware is interfering with the apps' functionality.

4. Pop-ups
Just like on computers, some mobile-device malware produces pop-up windows asking the user to perform various actions. If you are seeing pop-ups, beware.

5. Dropped calls and disruptions
During times when you have good signal strength, if you experience calls being dropped or if you hear strange noises occur during the phone conversation.
If your friends or colleagues report seeing strange text messages that you didn't send, it may be related to a breach.

6. Your phone gets warm
Even when you don’t make a call or work with it. This is another sign that there is an unknown app running.

7. You cannot switch off your device. Instead, your phone starts opening different apps, increasing the lighting, and so on.

8. Your phone reboots itself, switches off, dials numbers, or starts applications. If it’s not a system breakdown, then it could be tapping.

9. Increased Data Usage
If your mobile data usage increased suddenly then malware could be a reason behind this as malware apps use your mobile data like crazy.

10. Not able to make calls
If you are not able to make calls even if the mobile has full range then this could be sign that your mobile phone is hacked.

How to protect your mobile from hackers

• If you received a message with a link and you cannot see the full URL, never open it.

• If you change your phone via an unknown computer, when connected, choose “Only charging. “

• Don’t use the “remember passwords function.

• Switch off automatic connection to public Wi-Fi networks. Instead, choose them manually.

• One more thing about Wi-Fi networks. Avoid networks with suspicious names, such as Free Internet or wifiFree. Choose those which are protected with a password, especially if you are somewhere like a cafe.

• Don’t make online purchases or funds transfers in public Wi-Fi networks.

• If you use Android, install a reliable anti-virus program.

• And, of course, add a password to your phone.

Find Out Who’s Tracking You Through Your Phone

How to protect your privacy? How to stay safe while using your phone? Did you know that anyone can get your personal information and read your private messages? Here's a list of the most useful codes for smartphones all in one video, together with some instructions on how to detect intruders.
The status of the different types of diversions that are taking place along with the number the information is being transferred to will be displayed on your phone’s screen if you dial *#21#.
It’s a good idea to dial ##002# you have to use roaming. In this case, money won’t be taken from your account for calls that are redirected by default to your voice mail.
People usually don’t reveal all that much in phone conversations. From the point of view of those who want to listen in, it’s much more worthwhile to set up special devices (bugs) in someone’s home. Radio wave detectors can be used to work out whether such bugs are present in a building.
Determine what information it’s safe to make accessible to all. Be very careful when posting photographs of children. Only your mobile operator should ever offer you tracking services, and they should only turn them on with your explicit agreement. Websites and applications that offer to find out the location of other people are almost certainly acting with criminal intent.

SUMMARY
-With *#21#, you can find out whether your calls, messages and other data are being diverted.
-Dial *#62# if you want to find out where calls, messages, and data are being redirected to if it seems that no one can get through to you.
-##002# is a universal code for switching off all forms of redirection away from your phone.
-Dial *#06# to find out your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identifier). If you know this number, you can find your phone if someone steals it.
-Special codes exist that allow someone to track your location and also to determine whether someone is following you. The ones to be suspicious of are mobile base stations — this could be a truck or small bus with a large antenna.
-If you use Android, you should periodically check your phone for viruses. PlaceRaider is one of the most dangerous ones that can infect your device.
-If a phone makes odd noises during a conversation, loses battery power rapidly, overheats, or unexpectedly restarts, this is merely an indication that you need to get it repaired rather than a telltale sign that you’re being listened to.
-Use messaging apps that are completely closed to outsiders, such as Telegram, Chare, Wickr, or Signal. Don’t install unknown programs on your phone, keep close track of the apps you have installed, and use multiple security locks wherever you can.
