25 Weird Pixar Fan Theories That Might Actually Be True

Pixar movie theories that change everything! Subscribe to ScreenRant:

Since the creation of Reddit, fans have had the opportunity to discuss their own personal theories on films to no end and with total reckless abandon. While some of them are totally outlandish and borderline absurd, there are actually some that hold weight. We have curated a list of our twenty five favourite Pixar theories that we believe might actually be true. We’ll be looking at conspiracy theorist Jon Negroni theory that suggests that every single Pixar movie is interconnected starting with Pixar’s very first movie Toy Story and up until now. Negroni explains how in Brave animals took on human characteristics when the queen turns into a bear, and over the course of time animal intelligence grew and they were able to walk, talk and dress themselves. In addition, we’ll be covering which characters are related (spoiler, it has to two with a man who only wears loin clothes and two chilling sisters) as well as what lies beneath the hood of the characters in Cars. We’ll discuss how powerful emotions and memories are in the Pixar universe and dive into some darker theories that suggest some characters are not what they seem. Ever wonder where the monsters in monsters inc came from? Or why Andy’s dad in Toy Story is never around? All your questions will be answered in our video and you’ll leave with your mind fully blown. Kick back, relax, and join us on this journey as we sift through the best Pixar theories out there.

We all know that Pixar movies are much more than just kids fodder or animated entertainment. The detailed worlds and design are clearly there for adults to obsess over -- breaking down details, finding connections, and coming up with some pretty crazy theories. From long lost relatives to an “Incredible” connection with a true crime story, check out some of the theories and the ways they can change your view of Pixar movies forever!

One of the biggest theories to come from Pixar movies has been the all-encompassing Pixar Theory. See how the movies connect and learn about a ton of theories on the smaller scale. For example, have you seen the Pixar movie connections to The Shining? Was the main villain in The Incredibles 2 based off a true crime story with a disturbing ending? Also, why did Elastigirl’s body change from movie to movie? Is there a dark secret she’s kept hidden? Boo is an innocent little girl in Monsters Inc -- but has she grown up to become something a little more sinister than we could have ever imagined? In the Toy Story movies -- and including Toy Story 4, there are a lot of theories involving the characters. For example, is Jessie’s true owner someone we’ve known since the very beginning? What design is the Incredibles house based off of? Watch to see all of the theories and several others as we break down Disney movies!

20 Weird Disney Fan Theories That Might Actually Be True

Some of these Disney/Pixar fan theories are too awesome to be ignored! Subscribe to our channel:

The creation of the internet has opened up a platform for wild movie fans to let loose and discuss film theory in great detail. It has come to the point where people are basically rewriting the movies we thought we knew so well because of the underlying story lines they are discovering. Today we will be looking at what fans of Disney have been theorizing about. One group of theories we will look at has to do with family links that we never saw before. Fans have suggested that The Little Mermaid and Hercules are related as well as The Frozen sisters and Rapunzel being cousins. Other theories include the existence of alternate universes and posit that Zootopia and Robin Hood are in the same universe where humans don’t exist and that The Incredibles is set in a world where humankind has reached greater technological advances by the year 1960. In addition, we look at characters who are not as they seem. We argue that the merchant in Aladdin is actually the genie and that The Evil Witch from Snow White is actually Mother Gothel from Tangled. We cover everything from characters from other movies making secret cameos and the mystery behind the vehicles in Cars all having different accents. We hope that in within our list of twenty theories, you are shocked, in awe and hopefully at one point appalled by the knowledge we are dropping. Join us as we weave through the best of the best, the creme de la creme. Hopefully we blow your mind clean off.

When you saw this title you may have thought...wait dark movie theories from Pixar? The happiest, most intelligently made animated films in all of history, but how?! We hear you and we feel the same thing, but you’d be shocked at how many dark theories surround these movies...they may even ruin your childhood. But when did curiosity ever really kill the cat? What theories surround the “Toy Story” franchise, making hints at death, divorce, and even the Holocaust? Is Sid a villain with a deeper meaning, but the most important question for us: is Pixar hinting at human extinction and a possible apocalypse?! Is “Cars” hoping we’re gone from this planet? And we haven’t even got to “Ratatouille,” “Up!” “The Incredibles,” and “Coco.”

25 Pixar Movie Mistakes Fans Didn't Notice

Here are 25 mistakes made that you might not have noticed in Pixar Movies! Subscribe to our channel:

We here at ScreenRant, we think that the Pixar movies are pretty much perfect. There’s definitely been some stinkers, (one rhymes with “Cars 2”), but for the most part, the juggernaut animation studio has put out hit after hit, and we have no complaints.

Well, at least we thought we didn’t, until we started digging into the small details behind some of our favourite animated movies. We’ve noticed some pretty glaring mistakes in several of Pixar’s masterpieces, and we want to share them with you.

So today we’re going to be counting down 25 of the most egregious, and as an added bonus, we’re going to try and create an in-universe explanation for each of them, so we don’t completely spoil the fun.

A strange occurrence in the home of the Rivieras. A historical inaccuracy in Pixar’s only period piece. A biological inconsistency in a memorable animal character. We ask if Carl’s house had enough balloons. A wardrobe malfunction during a key scene in Ratatouille. A geographical oversight in a key character design. A marine life misunderstanding. A goofy lighting trick most viewers won’t notice. A monster-sized name mixup. A disappearing prop on the scare floor. A confusing vampiric twist in Toy Story 2. A strange toy preference on Andy’s part. A lack of self-awareness for one M. Potato Head. A confusing technical leap of logic. A strange design choice in A Bug’s Life. An inconsistency in gypsy moth gender. An ever shifting design change. A big continuity error after a great joke. A badly researched dino blunder.

10 Theories About Pixar's Incredibles That Totally Change The Movie

Could any of these Pixar theories actually be true? Subscribe to our channel:

Ever since the first Incredibles movie came out, and with the recent release of the amazing Incredibles 2, fans everywhere have become enthusiastic about trying to figure out every little detail in the movies, and a ton of possibilities that didn’t even make it to screen. These theories range from completely out there to totally plausible, and they just might make you rethink the the movies entirely! Like the fact that Edna might just be a reformed supervillain herself, what with her enthusiasm for danger and her giant, fortress like home, complete with armed guards! Or the idea that Violet might be Helen’s daughter, but not Bob’s! Fans think that she is actually the daughter of deceased Super Snug, and have a bunch of evidence to back it up. COuld it be possible that the government is actually backing up Syndrome’s operations in order to continue to get rid of Supers? How about that Edna planned Syndrome’s demise, or that he actually is a Super himself? Or that Violet is actually Boo from Monsters Inc all grown up? Some fans believe that, along with their super strength and stretching powers, that Mr and Mrs Incredible are also actually clairvoyant and can see into the future, while others believe that the three children actually represent Freud’s idea of the Id, the Ego, and the Superego. Along with all of this, there is a theory that states that Syndrome is using mind control to hypnotize both Mirage and his army of henchmen, and another one that runs with the idea that, in The Incredibles 2, the family moves into the giant house that used to belong to Syndrome himself!

Featuring:

EVIL EDNA
VIOLET’S ORIGINS
SYNDROME’S BACKERS
EDNA IN ON IT?
SYNDROME’S SYNDROME
INCREDIBLES, INC.

PSYCH 101
MIND CONTROL

Disney’s Pixar Studios has released hit after family-friendly hit, attracting fans of all ages. And with great fandom comes great fan theories.

In this video we’re covering 10 theories that make so much sense they have to be true. Those theories arise from Easter Eggs and other consistencies seen across the Pixar universe of films. That means they include connections between many of those movies, including between Wall-E and A Bug’s Life, Brave and Monsters, Inc., and Toy Story and Inside Out. From the destructive force of massive conglomerate Buy ‘N Large to the reasons animals and inanimate objects, like Toy Story’s Woody and Buzz, behave like people and from the power of emotions as an energy source to the character who might just be responsible for dropping all those Easter eggs across Pixar’s movies, we’re exploring some key theories. These theories add even more fascination and intrigue to the movies Pixar has created. Press play to learn all about them.

Disney is commonly perceived as being a fun for all the family type of company. Which is probably why dark fan theories of Disney films often pick up and make the movies kind of unsettling.

We hear about them all the time, but today we’re going in-depth, we’re going to be talking about the strange and depressing links between Frozen, Tangled and the Little Mermaid. We’re also going to delve into the time that The Incredibles may have deliberately parroted Ayn Randian philosophy. Some of these fan theories speculate on the true identities of some characters. For example what if Dr. Facilier is really Tiana’s father? It’s the only non-magical way he could be so aware of Tiana and all her hopes and dreams. What if Mufasa became a rain god? It makes sense seeing as the pridelands completely dried up for as long as Scar was in charge, only for the rain to pour the second Scar is killed.

We have some classics like the theory of Jessie being owned by Andy’s mother back in the day. Not only that but we also philosophise on whether Finding Nemo is all a metaphor for Marlon’s grief, and if Prince Charming is simply a metaphor for Snow White dying. We also wonder whether the entire city of Agrabah is actually part of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, after all how else would the genie know all those pop culture references?

10 Theories That Make Disney Movies So Much Darker

Beware, some of these fan theories just might ruin your favorite Disney movies! Subscribe to our channel:

Disney movies are typically catered to family-friendly audiences, but over the years, there have been many dark themes woven throughout the films. From these stories have come some pretty crazy fan theories involving the characters. Watch to see some of the darkest theories and characters who brought them to life.

In Frozen, Kristoff wears an outfit that could be a lot more closely related to Sven than many people realize. In Inside/Out the tragic death of Bing Bong may have manifested from more than just Riley’s imagination. The World of Cars isn’t just set in a fictional town, it is actually a vision of a dark future. Mufasa didn’t take his death lightly and punished everyone because of it. In Wreck-It Ralph, the happiest day in Calhoun’s life turns into one of the darkest days ever when she’s forced to kill her groom. Gaston loves to hunt, but was he the one who killed one of Disney’s most beloved forest creatures?! A poor fly gets eaten in the Emperor’s New Groove, but was the fly actually a human? Moana is not just the hero of our story, but the ocean may have transformed the character into a Demigod in her own right. Chip is the youngest character in Beauty and the Beast and some clues actually point to the Beast being his father. The dark origins of Cinderella showcase some pretty dramatic ways characters would work to try to get the shoe to fit. Watch to see all these theories play out on screen and deliver new dark visions of your Disney favorites!

25 Twisted Rick And Morty Facts That Will Surprise Even Longtime Fans

Do you believe any of these crazy Rick and Morty fan theories? Subscribe to our channel:

Since fans had no problem rioting over a McDonald’s sauce, we imagine that it’s only a matter of time before they take to the streets demanding season 4 of Rick and Morty. But while they wait for their favourite entertainment to come back to them, it’s a good time to study up, because there are a ton of Rick and Morty behind-the-scenes facts that they just might not know about. Like the previously mentioned Szechuan Sauce riots, or the fact that Jerry drives the same car as the Griswold family from National Lampoon’s Family Vacation. And yes, we think there’s a Chevy Chase connection in there somewhere. How about how Bryan Cranston could have been the voice of Jerry, Justin Roiland wrote “Get Schwifty” when he was a kid and then built the episode around it, the show has only passed the TV-14 rating twice in its sordid history, and Rick and Morty might actually share a universe or two with Futurama! The Pickle Rick episode was inspired by an episode of Breaking Bad, you can actually play Jerry’s balloon popping game for real, Community definitely has some tie-ins with Rick and Morty, the pilot was written in only 6 hours on the same day the the show was sold, Rick’s catchiest catchphrase was actually an accident, we wouldn’t have Rick and Morty if we hadn’t lost Community, and Bill Cosby inadvertently has some involvement with the creation of our favourite cartoon! All these and more make up some of the wildest behind the scenes details about Rick and Morty!

15 Dark Facts About The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror

Which is your favorite Simpsons Halloween episode? Subscribe to our channel:

For all of the amazing and classic episodes that The Simpsons has given us over the years, there is nothing quite like the Treehouse of Horror Halloween specials. The perfect blend of creepy, funny, and pitch perfect parody that these episodes bring is unbeatable, and no Halloween season is complete without at least one Treehouse of Horror marathon. These amazing behind the scenes facts make us love the episodes even more, and will have you rummaging through your old DVDs in order to find them as soon as possible. It’s a good thing the fans were so vocal about how much they loved them, because early on, the writers didn’t even want to continue making them because of how labour intensive they are to write. If they had quit, we’d never have gotten the amazing guest intros from Guillermo Del Toro and John Kricfalusi. EC Comics provided a ton of early inspiration for the writers of the show, as did the horror/sci-fi classic The Twilight Zone. They got pretty pointed with the easter eggs in the tombstones from the opening credits for a minute there, and of course James Earl Jones has done a handful of truly classic voices. An Iraq joke was put in that never made it past censors, the Ironic Punishment Division was inspired by a classic cartoon, and of course The Simpsons did Harry Potter before the movies came out in theatres. Roy Simpson was originally a Treehouse idea, the crazy Dolphin episode was inspired by a classically hilarious movie from the 1970’s, and Matt Groening’s favourite line might totally surprise you! All this and more might just make you love the Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors even more.

Did you know that each and every Pixar movie, from Toy Story to CoCo are all connected as part of one large multiverse? That’s right, thanks to the glory of the internet we now know how each and every Pixar creation, from the smallest Pixar short film to the longest film saga all link together to make one fantastic broader story where Brave, Cars, Nemo, and everyone in between exist on the same planet. Think we’re making this up? Check out this list all the way to the end and see if we can convince you of these 25 Reasons the Pixar Theory Might be True.

From the magic of emotions to the overwhelming nature of the Buy N’ Large corporation, the Pixar theory take each and every aspect of the Pixar movies into account. This experiment, along with the terrible treatment of toys, animals, and the environment leads to a catastrophic uprising that wipes out human beings as we know them for generations. That is until the world is rebuilt and humans slowly take over the Earth again with Boo from Monster’s Inc becoming the most critical human being on the planet. 10 Pixar Theory Problems Fans Choose To Ignore

The Pixar Theory has gained a lot of attention, but there are some problems with it that are tough to ignore! Subscribe to our channel:

The Pixar Theory has existed for a few years now and has conceived a good chunk of the internet that it is real. It suggests that all the Pixar films are actually connected into one cinematic universe and that all Pixar films are telling one story in a non-chronological order timeline. The biggest take away from the theory is that magic is real, animals can think and eventually rise against the humans, creating a dystopian future which leads the way for Wall-E, Cars and Monsters Inc thousands of years in the future. It’s all very compelling, except for these problems. Chief among them is that this is still just a fan theory! No one from Disney or Pixar has confirmed its existence. In fact, many Pixar directors have come up stating that the theory is actually insane, including the directors of Inside Out, the art director of Cars and the director of Brave, a film that is crucial to the theory’s existence. The problems only pile up more from there, including that Muntz from Up somehow got the idea of the dog collars from Ratatouille, despite him being lost in the rainforest in South America for decades. A big part of the theory rides on Boo from Monsters Inc being the Witch in Brave, but that makes no sense for multiple reasons! First being that the doors can’t be time traveling portals and second is that Mike fixed the portal to Boo’s room, thus negating the need for Boo to be searching for Sully. The Pixar Shorts also create a dent in the theory as some of them are characters in the Pixar universe and some are not. Oh-and they totally mess with the timeline. Finding Dory challenges the animosity between humans and animals while the bear in Brave was never shown to interact with animals, which is said to be the origin of animals being able to speak. A Bug’s Life can no way take place after Wall-E and the Omnidroid in the Incredibles wasn’t thinking on it’s own due to magic, it was simply bad programing from Syndrome.

The Disney Theory: Does Every Disney Movie Exist In The Same Universe?

Theories have been swirling for years that each and every Disney movie is connected. But is there any truth to it all? Subscribe to our channel:

Pirates with hooks. Talking lions. Space aliens crashing landing in Hawaii. Over the years, the world of Disney has gone through a wide range of settings and characters for their animated films -- but what if they were all connected? The Pixar theory has risen over the years, connecting the isolated branch of digitally animated Pixar films together like Toy Story, Cars, and Monsters Inc. -- but what if there was a connected universe in the world of traditional Disney animation? On the surface, it may seem like there’s no way a movie like The Lion King could connect with Treasure Planet -- but breaking everything down helps build a plausible universe, connected worlds, and there’s even a surprising way Wreck-It Ralph helps tie things together. By breaking down the layers we can piece together exactly how the theory fits and connect some of the greatest Disney classics of all-time.

The Disney universe of characters and worlds is clearly in its own realm. Talking animals, fairies, and wooden dolls who come to life all feel plausible because of the magic of Disney animation. Connecting these movies is no easy task -- mainly because there are so many of them. Starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and extending to modern-day hits like Moana or Ralph Breaks the Internet, there are dozens and dozens of movies to cover.
