3D Journey to All the Planets

Let’s assume that people learned how to breathe in space without special equipment and we found a way to reach any planet in the Solar System. So how about to set off on an amazing journey right now? Wanna know what the surface of other planets looks like? Then join us! We're going to set foot on the surface of each planet in the Solar System and the Sun!

The Sun's surface looks like scorched earth, Mercury looks eerily similar to the good old Moon, and Venus turns out to be very different from the bluish planet you saw in pictures! Before landing, you have to get through a super-dense atmosphere that's made up of carbon dioxide. Saturn doesn't have any solid surface at all! Can you imagine that? Its temperature and density change the deeper you go. Interested? Then here are the most intriguing facts about our Solar System, and its planets you probably did not know!

Why Harvard Scientists Think This Object Is An Alien Spacecraft

Harvard scientists think that the first interstellar object detected in our solar system, called “Oumuamua,” could be an alien spacecraft. The scientists sought to explain a quirk in Oumuamua's behavior, which led them to an unusual conclusion. No one knows what Oumuamua is or where it came from, and it's too late to find out for sure.

This video shows Saturn through my Telescope at good seeing conditions. I used Autostakkert, Registax and Photoshop for post processing. I used a longer exposure to get out Saturns Moons and combined it with a shorter exposure to get a nice image of all the objects. You can see the high resolution image on my Website:

When Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 launched into space in 1977, their mission was to explore the outer solar system, and over the following decade, they did so admirably.

With an 8-track tape memory system and onboard computers that are thousands of times weaker than the phone in your pocket, the two spacecraft sent back an immense amount of imagery and information about the four gas giants, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

But NASA knew that after the planetary tour was complete, the Voyagers would remain on a trajectory toward interstellar space, having gained enough velocity from Jupiter's gravity to eventually escape the grasp of the sun. Since they will orbit the Milky Way for the foreseeable future, the Voyagers should carry a message from their maker, NASA scientists decided.

The Voyager team tapped famous astronomer and science popularizer Carl Sagan to compose that message. Sagan's committee chose a copper phonograph LP as their medium, and over the course of six weeks they produced the Golden Record: a collection of sounds and images that will probably outlast all human artifacts on Earth.

Cassini: 20-Year Saturn Mission Nears Grand Finale

After 20 years in space, the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft will make its suicide plunge into Saturn's atmosphere on Sept. 15. For the team of scientists who began working on the project in the 1980s, it means the end of decades of work that led to scientific progress and never-before-seen images of Saturn's rings, moons and surface. What's your favourite celestial body? Do you want me to make a video about it? Let me know in the comments down below.

J1407b is an extrasolar planet beyond our Solar System. It is the first exoplanet discovered with a ring system by the transit method. A sequence of eclipses of the star occurred over a 56-day period in 2007. The J1407b ring system has an outer radius of about 90 million km.
