SUPPORT OUR WORK:
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
The surreal experience of flying during the pandemic
Demand for air travel has all but evaporated with the arrival of coronavirus. But airlines are still flying. And now, passengers have to wear masks. Here’s what it’s like to take a flight from Washington, D.C. into Atlanta, the world’s busiest airport. Mandatory stay-at-home orders have pushed demand for flying to almost zero, wrecking airline finances. Carriers are parking hundreds of planes anywhere they can, including on a runway at Atlanta. Inside the concourses there, crowds are nowhere near what they were in mid-March, as coronavirus started to shut life down. Most restaurants and shops are closed. On board flights, passengers will find blocked seats, to encourage social distancing. And inflight service consisting of water and snacks stuffed into a plastic baggie, to limit the interaction flight attendants have with fliers. Flying into China during Coronavirus Pandemic (EWR - SIN Singapore Airlines A350 Business Class)
Hi guys! I flew from the US to Singapore and then to Shanghai, China as school is canceled in the US. I flew from EWR - SIN in Singapore Airlines A350- 900 Business Class, and sort of made a review of it. I believe the flight from JFK to SIN is really similar to this.
Please leave any questions you have down below. The policy of entering China could change at any time. As of March 24th, EVERY SINGLE PERSON ENTERING CHINA NEEDS TO BE TESTED AND QUARANTINED. For accuracy, please refer to government websites.

Flying from India to the United States During Pandemic | Ep. 54
On March 21st, 2020 we boarded a plane that took us from India back to the United States. It was the weirdest travel day we have had yet and one that had us holding our breath until we landed in the United States. Such a crazy time to be traveling...
We both quarantined for 16 days alone and exhibited no symptoms of the coronavirus. We feel very lucky to be healthy and extend our well wishes to everyone affected by the virus around the world.

Traveling is embedded into our relationship as we met on a Spring Break cruise in 2016. Since then, we haven't stopped traveling together in the United States and abroad. We left New York in July 2019 to travel the world and we took work with us, including starting a travel vlog. We have made it our mission to slow travel for 16 months throughout South America and Asia and to create travel videos along the way.
Traveling Atlas was created to capture our moments of taking risk, building connections, and seeing the world. We will be staying in each country we visit for about a month in order to experience cultures to our maximum capacity and to inspire others that they can do the same. We are Brandon and Erin, follow the journey and stay tuned.

Flying from CAN to USA During the Pandemic
I retell my experience flying from Canada to USA for work.
FLYING DURING THE PANDEMIC (Malaysia to Canada)
Will travel ever be the same again? Want to know how to travel safely during the pandemic? These questions were going through our mind when we had to fly back home to Toronto. We were monitoring the WHO travel alerts and continuously questioning are travel restrictions still in place or are travel restrictions lifted. We also were asking questions like can travel insurance be refunded or can travel insurance be cancelled as we were scared of catching the virus on the way back to Canada. If we decided to stay in Malaysia, we had to ask ourselves how travel will change in the next week month or year and can we be potentially stuck. If we went back home, we needed to ask when travel ban will be lifted in Canada or when Canada will open borders so we can grow our Youtube in the travel niche. This video will give you an idea of what it is like traveling during a pandemic.

How the coronavirus affects air travel: Association of Flight Attendants president
Sara Nelson, international president of the Association of Flight Attendants, joins Squawk Box to discuss how the outbreak of the coronavirus is impacting airlines around the world.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is telling Americans to avoid all nonessential travel to China, expanding its travel warning from the city of Wuhan to the entire country as the coronavirus outbreak worsens, the agency said Tuesday.
Last week, the CDC advised against all nonessential travel to Wuhan, the epicenter of the disease’s outbreak and where the majority of cases have been reported.
The U.S. Department of State on Monday also raised its travel advisory for China from Level 2 to Level 3, asking Americans to “reconsider travel to China due to the novel coronavirus.” They added that some areas have “added risk.”
Chinese health authorities said Tuesday that the virus, which was first diagnosed less than a month ago, has now killed 106 people and infected 4,515.
Scott Gottlieb, a former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner and a CNBC contributor, said he’s worried that coronavirus cases in China are actually much higher than the official numbers show.
“I think we are dramatically underestimating” cases in China by “tens of thousands,” Gottlieb told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Chinese authorities have quarantined several major cities in China and canceled Lunar New Year’s festivities in Beijing and other areas.
Multiple cases of the virus have been confirmed in Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, France and the United States. There have been no confirmed deaths caused by the illness outside of China.
The CDC confirmed five cases of coronavirus in the U.S. and said Monday that U.S. health officials are currently monitoring 110 people across 26 states for the coronavirus.

Flying home during the PANDEMIC! Coronavirus Vlog
In this video I share my experience with what it was like to fly home during the coronavirus pandemic! Traveling right now during a global pandemic was actually really easy and kind of pleasant lol.
I didn't wear a mask because I had just been around high risk friends and family. None of us were sick and there were literally so few people in the airports that I felt pretty safe to not wear it. This was back on April 2nd and I haven't had any symptoms.

Flying During The Pandemic | COVID-19 Drive Thru Testing | Aja Dang
I'm Aja Dang. If you followed my last monthly budget, you know I traveled to Ohio to attend my grandmothers funeral. Traveling during the pandemic is... weird. Chicago, the 2nd busiest airport in the country was empty. The famous tunnel that connects United terminal was empty. There were only two food options available - Mcdonald's and a sandwich shop.
After that, we were able to get an appointment to a drive thru COVID-19 testing site in Los Angeles. It was free and fairly easy. The wait in the car was long, but of course it was.
I think this video is being uploaded at a perfect time but hopefully this reminds everyone that this pandemic is real and those of you who are going to bars and pool parties are being irresponsible and putting us all at risk.
If you want things to get back to normal stay inside. The second wave IS coming so please be responsible.
• GET TESTED •
If you're in Los Angeles and would like to get tested:
• FACE MASK •
the face masks are beautiful but she shipped from England, which took almost four weeks to get here. If you're in a rush to get a mask, this is not your best option.

FLYING home during the CORONAVIRUS pandemic | (Covid-19) | VLOG #012
We've been forced to leave our home in Bali, but luckily enough we were able to book a flight home to South Africa without it getting cancelled. Our nerves were high throughout the whole process but luckily everything went smoothly. The only differences we noticed were a number of temperature tests, many more people wearing masks, particles swabs on our bags and very empty airports. Perhaps we were paranoid for nothing!
Good luck to everyone trying to get home at this time. We would love to hear from you all in the comments below, so please leave how this virus has affected your life, down below. Much love all and we thank you so much for all the support we have been receiving.
