Producing high quality graphene in 15 seconds – IChemE Business Start-Up Award Winner 2019

“We have a method that allows us to produce high quality graphene in 15 seconds.”

Congratulations to University College London, prizewinners of the Business Start-Up Award at the IChemE Global Awards 2019 for their project, ‘Continuous Graphene Manufacturing by Microwave’.

The team have created a method that allows for high quality graphene (carbon materials) to be produced in a cheap and economical way in 15 seconds.

Using microwave technology, their revolutionary process will allow them to reproduce tonnes of graphene every year for a range of applications. These include using this highly conductive material for transporting data fast at a low energy in 5G mobile networks; to protect metals from corrosion; and within batteries.

First Graphene - INVEST 2018

Non-Executive Chairman Warwick Grigor was recently giving AXINO an interview on Germany's largest investor fair INVEST 2018 in Stuttgart.

Warwick just came from the IDTechEx Berlin, where he observed tremendous interest for the advanced material Graphene. He got a lot of enquiries from industries of all kind.

He pointed out some major advantages of this material. The additition of Graphene in the amount of just 1% to various materials can translate into 50-100% approval of products' conditions, such as strenght, conductivity and flexilbility. In fact, Graphene is non-toxic, and therefore fully environmental friendly.

First Graphene is one of the first and largest, if not the largest, producer of low cost high quality graphene globally. 2018 will be the first year for launching constant revenue streams.

However, Warwick rather sees First Graphene as a seller of licenses to the industry in the long run, and gaining royalty streams in return.

The graphene producer executed a strategic marketing agreement with Traxys Sarl., Luxembourg, last year, who is considered door opener for the natural resource industry globally.

First Graphene flame resistant coating

IDTechEx Research Director Dr Khasha Ghaffarzadeh, Interviews Dr Andy Goodwin, Advanced Materials Advisor, and Warwick Grigor, Non-Executive Chairman of First Graphene ( on their fire retardant additive at the IDTechEx Show! Europe 2018.

First Graphene is an advanced materials company seeking to position itself in the lowest cost decile of global graphene suppliers. It has developed an environmentally sound and safe method of converting its supplies of ultra-high grade Sri Lankan graphite into the lowest cost highest quality graphene, in bulk quantities. In so doing it is addressing the three greatest impediments to the commercialisation of graphene, being reliable quality at realistic prices in sufficient volumes to facilitate the development of applications in modern materials, energy storage devices, coatings and polymers. It aims to use these competitive advantages to access new technologies and processes and in turn gain maximum leverage to the entire graphene supply chain, from sourcing the raw material to end use, with development of associated intellectual property for licencing and sales.

Executive Director Peter Youd was recently giving a skype interview, explaining the last press release about the NICNAS approval.

First Graphene is now the only company in the world that is legally permitted to manufacture, import and sell graphene powders in the EU and in Australia. The outstanding response from the Department of Environment & Energy is just a formality, and no further obstacle for starting commercial sales.

The company has worldwide the largest graphene manufacturing facility in Australia/Henderson, and has been in contact with a lot of potential buyers of this advanced material.

Innovative graphene extraction method delivers big yields

Dr Shannon Notley from the ANU Research School of Physics and Engineering has developed a technique of graphene extraction that represents an improvement on currently known methods in terms of yield, quality, cost and environmental benefits. The novelty of the method lies in the use of ultrasonic separation of graphite in water, assisted by a precisely selected and rate-controlled addition of a surfactant.

Graphene's unique properties lend itself for use in a myriad of industries such as the electronics, automotive, communications, aerospace and solar industries. The starting material, graphite (consisting of a stack of many flat graphene sheets) is inexpensive and easily available. However, the main barrier to widespread industry uptake is the lack of a high-yield and high-throughput processing method to produce affordable graphene at an industrial scale.

Rossui Air Face - Graphene: revolutionary technology of 21st century

Follow New IG
@rossceutics.singaporeconcierge for exciting new launch of Rossui & Rossceutics

2019. The launch of a revolutionary technology of the 21st century - Rossui Air Face & Air Eyes that harnesses the power of graphene for total skin rejuvenation.

One of the graphene’s most incredible properties is the ability to release far-infrared light waves when heated. It emits a light wave of 5~15μm which is consistent with the far-infrared waveband of the human body.

When used as a beauty treatment, it can go deep into the skin layer, produce effective “resonance” with the water molecules of skin and detoxify it, activate skin cells, promote facial micro-circulation, and inject new energy into cells.

Rossui Air Face is lightweight, transparent device that can be worn anywhere and works without interfering with your daily activities.

It is only 0.3mm thick and weighs just 60 grams. It is comfortable, painless, effortless to use and restores skin in just a few minutes a day.

The treatment LIFTS and FIRMS, WHITENS and CLEANSES to eliminate fine pores, smooth fine lines, moisturize and detoxify skin using invisible infrared light for a revolutionary new beauty regimen.

Combine with Rossceutics Black Orchid ampoules for a whole new chapter of skin rejuvenation and releases your inner beauty.
