How To Find Out If You Have Good Genetics

Featuring an arms workout at my new gym and discussing how to find out if you have good genetics. Genetics is everything in muscle building.

Need help reaching your fitness goal? Start by watching my exclusive masterclass (will teach you way more than wasting time on youtube). Go here to watch it and also get my sustainable fitness guide:

▶ How did everything start?

My name is Xenios Charalambous, and I help busy people lose weight and sustain their results.

I started my fitness journey when I was 13 years old, after a rejection I had from a girl at school. I was skinny (103 lbs, 47kg), unhealthy, depressed, addicted to video games, and I had no self-confidence. I struggled through my teens, and I realised that the only person who is responsible for my life's direction is me... so I took action.

After years of trial and error, I cracked the code, and I finally transformed my body and mind, but that wasn't enough... I decided to challenge more myself by applying for the special forces. I successfully completed the 2 years training and took my mental strength into a whole new dimension.

I shared my story on youtube, went viral all around the world (over 6.7 million views), and my fitness company was found. After getting known worldwide, I moved to London where I was coaching A-List celebrities, partnered with companies like X-Factor, Google, Morgan Stanley and Amazon to train their executives.

I now specialise in helping busy individuals lose weight with a proven sustainable system. Since 2013, I've helped hundreds of people worldwide transform their life. Check out my website for more information. (Start with the masterclass, link shared above)

Are Your Genetics KILLING Your Gains?

Ever wondered if you have good enough genetics to actually build muscle? If so, this is the video you need to watch. Jeff Cavaliere and Jesse Laico dive into the viewer mailbox to answer the question of what can be done if your genetics for building muscle just aren’t so great.

The reality is, far too often people try and simplify one of the most complicated phenomena in the human body - genetics. It is not as simple as having either good genetics or bad genetics. Instead, you may have elements of your genetics that are favorable for building muscle and getting ripped while others are not nearly as gifted.

Instead of looking at yourself as either a Lamborghini or a Prius you have to realize that no matter what model car your body resembles at the moment you can quickly improve it - just as if you were to upgrade to a better package on the model you have now.

As with any discussion of genetics however, there are intangibles and outside factors that influence that way your genetics express themselves. If you do these things right, the expression of your genes can wind up with an entirely different outcome than you would expect.

Let’s discuss some of the things that are hard coded however and not likely to be influenced by anything other than picking your parents. These are called anthropometric factors. Things that influence your body structure, dimensions and proportions. Bone structure and skeletal width are very important factors. Let’s face it, if you are 5 foot 7 and have narrow shoulders you will never have the muscle mass like the Rock.

He simply has a much wider, broader skeleton that allows him to pack on much more muscle than you do. Now that doesn’t mean that you can’t optimize the amount of muscle that you can put on your frame and look amazing at the end of the day.

Other things like the torso to lower body ratio can dramatically impact leverages and your ability to lift strongly. It leads to reason that if you have better leverage to perform more powerful lifts that you will have an easier time building muscle through overload than someone who has very unfavorable limb lengths.

It goes even further…

If you have poor distribution of androgen receptors within your muscle bellies you simply won’t respond hormonally to training as a stimulus as someone who has a greater density of them. Likewise, if your muscles are made up of a much higher proportion of type I fibers rather than type II, your ability to be explosive and carry more muscle as a result will be lower.

These are things that you cannot change much, if at all, so it doesn’t merit much focus in your training.

The things that can be changed however are your willpower and consistency of training. I don’t care what your genetics look like, if you are willing to commit to a consistent workout program or schedule and get yourself in the gym on a regular basis to train hard and smart - you will have better results than most who don’t or aren’t willing to do the same.

Likewise, if you have a greater capacity to remain focused during a session or have a higher threshold for pain and training discomfort you will likely be able to push yourself harder than the next person and get a greater stimulus for growth from your workouts.

Of course, what you do outside the gym matters immensely in other areas as well.

What does your nutrition look like? Are you eating well enough to support your hard training in the gym? Are you getting adequate sleep to promote optimal recovery from your workouts which will help you to recover faster and see better gains because of it.

The bottom line is this, instead of looking to others and idolizing their results in comparison to yours, focus on yours alone and look for ways to optimize them. I promise you this, if you do, the results you achieve will be nothing short of amazing and better than you ever could have imagined. Do You Have Good or Bad Muscle-Building Genetics? (5 SIGNS)

Genetics is a controversial topic in the bodybuilding and fitness space. Some people believe they have bad genetics for building muscle and are quick to label someone with an impressive physique as having good genetics.

But how do we define good or bad genetics, and how much does it affect a lifter's starting physique, and how they progress from weight training?

In this video, we'll discuss practical ways to assess if you have good or bad genetics.

First, let's be clear that the scientific community doesn't fully understand human genetics. How specific genes influence muscle and strength gains from resistance training is a topic of ongoing research. There currently isn't enough data for us to draw hard conclusions.

The points in this video will familiarize you with how lifters respond to weight training and how genetics plays a role. By the end of this video, you'll have a good idea of whether or not you have good or not so good genetics for muscle building.

Do You Have Good or Bad Muscle-Building Genetics?

How to Build An IMPRESSIVE PHYSIQUE with Bad Genetics

Everyone is born with different genetics. While some guys could do everything wrong and still end up jacked in 12 weeks, others seem to do everything right and take far longer. And even then, their physiques pale in comparison.

That said, having bad genetics is no excuse for a lack of progress…because although you may never be the next Mr. Olympia, you will still be able to build a body that you can be proud of.

In fact, over a decade ago when I was in my early 20’s, I was a mere 115 lbs soaking wet!

For years, I swore my genetics held me back from building muscle. It turns out that the REAL roadblock was what I was physically doing. Once I made some simple, science-based adjustments to my training, my body began to change.

In this video, I’m share 3 ways to build an impressive physique despite having “bad genetics.”

Get Bodybuilding Genetics ???? How Fast Can You Build Muscle | Quickly Gain Muscle | Good Bad & Worst

Do you have bodybuilding genetics and is it possible to improve your genetics? Find out how quickly you can gain muscle and find out if genetics play a role in muscle building

????FREE 6 Week Body Transformation Challenge:

???? Fat Loss Calculator:

Do you have the ideal genetics to be a bodybuilder or to have all your muscles pop and to be cut up like a fitness model? How much do genetics influence your gains and your results in relation to building muscle and burning fat? Well.... as much as I want to say that your genetics have nothing to do with it and it's just all about hard work.... the truth is..... of course genetics play a big role in your ability to develop your body aesthetically. So let's talk about some of the things that can be considered a genetic gift for building muscle and burning fat and also talk about the things that are more so a genetic curse so to speak. The first thing is your bone structure. For better Aesthetics as a man you want naturally wider shoulders and a narrow waist along with narrow hips. By having this kind of bone structure it gives you more of that V look that's ideal for men. for women we want more of The Hourglass shape. So wider hips a smaller waist and a wider bust would be ideal for Aesthetics. Unfortunately your bone structure is pretty much entirely influenced by genetics. Fortunately there are certain things you can do in order to create more of an illusion of the proper bone structure. For example if you're a guy with really wide hips and a wide waist you can work on developing your upper body a lot. so you can try to do a bunch of lateral movements for your shoulders and try to widen out your lays and back and build a big chest. By doing this you can outgrow your large framed lower body and establish the proper proportions. Also if you're looking to actually compete in bodybuilding there are ways to pose on the stage in which you present only certain angles to highlight your strong points and to take away the attention from your weaknesses. Next up is hormones. Two major hormones that influence how fast and how much muscle you build are testosterone and growth hormone. even though you can take anabolic drugs to work around lower test and growth hormone levels I highly recommend you don't..... because of the consequences associated with taking these drugs. Obviously higher natural test and growth hormone levels are ideal for building muscle fast and I have a video about how you can increase your testosterone levels naturally that i'll link up in the description below.
Next are the type of reps that you do. Do you go for High Reps or low reps? It's believed that total training volume influences muscle size. Meaning you can get gains by lifting heavy for low reps or lifting light for High Reps. However it's been my belief for the longest time that going heavy while even sacrificing a little form and going with less reps is always better to build muscle. And what do you know the better blessed individuals are considered to be the guys that have low endurance but can lift a very heavy load for a few reps. Is it a blessing or is it the fact that these guys train heavy.....hmmm.... I wonder, but before I put the nail in the coffin and say that if you want to build muscle you should always go heavy I want you to know that there are a lot of bodybuilders that have gotten racked by going with High Reps so it's possible both ways...... but yeah still go heavy. Another factor is if your born with small fat cells or large fat cells. Or if you're born with a naturally lower amount of fat cells or a naturally higher amount of fat cells. Let me tell you guys right off the bat that with fat cells the truth is that no matter where your starting point is, you can burn off your fat cells and have very tonned & defined muscles. however obviously someone that's born with smaller & less fat cells is going to have a lot easier of a Time cutting then somebody born with larger ones and more of them. But I want you guys to know it can be done either way. The next thing that's ideal is longer muscle bellies with short insertion points. Meaning you have shorter tendons that connect your muscle to your bones & longer muscle bellies. This gives you more muscle fibers to work with & allows you to build more muscle in less time. So for example if you have a really short bicep muscle or a really short calf muscle that is really high up your leg it's going to be a lot harder to build up that muscle. And unfortunately there's not much we can do about the shape of our muscle bellies. Another determining factor is your genetic ability to be able to contract a muscle. Some people can contract a lot further than others. Better contract....
