When the metadata laws came in I was concerned for all of 2 weeks. It's not until I think back now that I see how difficult it is to extract myself from this system without being a lonely hermit. My biggest reason for not sticking with Signal or Telegram in 2015 and using Whatsapp instead? My friends not being interested enough in their privacy to want to change their habits.
I think there may be a shift coming. When people like Edward Snowden get interviewed on the Joe Rogan Experience and Netflix documentaries like the Social Dilemma begin trending I have hope that the fight for privacy isn't totally lost. These things are fantastic in my eyes, the fact we are finally having the conversation about just how fucked up the data collection has become and how ingrained social media has become in our lives.
My biggest hurdle is creating and sharing art whilst keeping my privacy. It's difficult for an average internet user like me to navigate into the world of tor. Well, it seems difficult, maybe I'll have to give it a try soon. I don't know how I can share these videos without using the websites that store my data, exactly the thing I'm banging on about. Uploading videos onto youtube goes against a lot of what I'm saying but what are my alternatives? Are there alternatives? I long for the day when there's a Facebook or Reddit equivalent that I can use to 'stay connected' whilst also being free from censorship and tracking but I'm not aware of it as yet.
I'm obviously not trying to hide, I'm posting fucking videos online. I am however choosing what I share. I don't like the idea of people snooping into my private life and then potentially trying to blackmail me or form value judgements about who I am related to the people I interact with when tracking my metadata. I take people at face value. I treat people from all walks of life with respect and try not to judge others. I'm human so I fuck up, but I try. Integrity is important to me.
I have no such assurances that someone who has a position of power has these same values, especially when I don't even know who these cunts are or when they will access my data. Hell, they could see this video in 5 years time and decide to dig in and look me up. There's nothing to say my information won't be available on the black market. There are no regulations in place to stop law enforcement of 'authority' in general from accessing some of this shit. How the fuck can I sit here in 2020 and have any idea what the world will look like in 2025? Is it possible that the world could get to a point where offensive jokes shared between friends could land you in trouble?
Fuck the A.I panopticon. I'm going to keep sharing dank memes.

Joe Biden Gives Dumbest, Most Incoherent Speech Yet
LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos everyday.
Joe Biden just gave one of the worst speeches a major presidential candidate has ever given. How can the democrats and the media (though we repeat ourselves) keep this guy's mental facilities hidden until the election? It's a huge scandal.

Kamala AND Joe BOTH Said Harris-Biden! Mistake Or ???
Kamala Harris and Joe Biden made the mistake of saying Harris-Biden administration instead of Biden-Harris during different stops on the campaign trail. Kamala Harris made her so-called gaffe first and immediately tried to fix it to say Biden-Harris because the President's name always goes first in that context... (CONTINUE READING / SOURCES:
