MAD JACK - storie strane ma finte - parodia Storici MAI

Mad Jack

I Am Audie Murphy (The Epic Story of a Tiny Soldier)

The story of the most decorated US Army soldier in World War II. Originally told he was too small, too young, and unfit for combat by the Navy and Marines, Murphy forged documents and joined the Army where he was sent to fight the war in Europe.

This is the story of how a tiny soldier defied all of the odds, was shot at, bombed, stormed beaches and bunkers, and entered into the halls of American myth. This is the story of Audie Murphy.

This video is inspired by true real life events.

During the night, 200 Japanese soldiers decided to surprise the Gurkhas and to break their way to Taungdaw.
The first line of defence they encountered into was a small trench manned by Lachhiman Gurung and two other soldiers.
This trench was positioned on the jungle road that led straight to the camp.
If Gurung’s position was overrun, the entire camp would have been endangered...

Paroles :

We're talking about Jack Churchill also nicknamed Fighting Jack Churchill or Mad Jack.
This british « world war 2 » soldier was a bizarre mesh of Robin Hood and Derek Zoolander.
He fought with nothing but a longbow and a Scottish basket-hilted broadsword.
Riding his trusty motorcycle, he would assault the Germans, screaming « Commandoooo » !.
The guy was always looking for adventure, never backed away from a fight, yo, and was pretty much insane to the point he did not feel pain.

Haha, You're getting Mad Jack !
I say Haha, You're getting Mad Jack !

He said : « In my opinion, sir, any officer who goes into action without his sword is improperly dressed ! »
And it's not the only thing he used to bring to war, playing music across France, Italy, Norway, or Burma, the « March of the Cameron Men », bagpipes under his arm and longbow around his neck.
Several times he got captured by geurmeuans and everytime he escaped, still looking to fight.
This guy is immortal, brave, eccentric, ingenious and somewhat desperado.

Haha, You're getting Mad Jack !
I say Haha, You're getting Mad Jack !

Reason Why Soldiers Are Jealous of Air Force Pilots

Why do military soldiers get jealous of the air force airmen?

The US Air Force is the youngest of the military branches, and much like the youngest sibling of any family, it's typically the most spoiled. It's no secret that most military veterans will tell you that life just seems better in the Air Force than in any other branch- but is that true, and if so, why? Welcome to this episode of The Infographics Show- why soldiers get jealous of airmen.

The US Air Force got its start as part of the US Army on the 1st of August, 1907. Back then the functionality of air planes was highly limited, and for decades few military planners considered them vital tools of battle. With the passing of the National Security Act of 1947, the US Air Force officially became its own branch of the military on the 18th of September, 1947.
