STORYLINE
Satellite pictures and a sketched diagram of Osama bin Laden's custom-made hideout in Abbottabad, Northern Pakistan, were released by the US Department of Defence on Monday, providing further detail of the compound where the al-Qaida leader had been hiding for years.
The elaborately fortified compound was the scene the US Navy Seals' assault on Friday, which ended in bin Laden's death.
The images show a large compound with a three story dwelling at its centre.
The south facing balcony of the house was shielded by a 7 ft ( 2.13 meters) high privacy wall, while the windows facing north were opaque.
Perimeter walls surrounding the compound ranged from 10 feet ( 3 metres) to 18 feet ( 5.5 meters) in height.
It had no phone or Internet running into the house.
The residents of the compound burned all the rubbish inside its parameters as part of safety measures.
A US official said that intelligence analysis had concluded that the compound was built in 2005 at a probable cost of one million US dollars to hide 'someone of significance'.
Intelligence officials said that statements given by US detainees suggested that the al-Qaida leader had trusted one al-Qaida courier in particular and they believed he might be living with him in hiding.
Four years ago they learned the man's identity, which officials did not disclose, and then about two years later, they identified areas of Pakistan where he operated.
Last August, the man's residence was found, officials said.
By mid-February, intelligence from multiple sources was clear enough that US President Barrack Obama wanted to pursue an aggressive course of action, a senior administration official said.
Over the next two and a half months, the president led five meetings of the National Security Council focused solely on whether bin Laden was in that compound and, if so, how to get him, the official said.
Obama made a decision to launch the operation on Friday, shortly before flying to Alabama to inspect tornado damage, and aides set to work on the details.
Helicopters ferrying elite counter-terrorism troops into the compound identified by the CIA as bin Laden's hideout - and back out again in less than 40 minutes. Bin Laden was shot in the head, officials said, after he and his bodyguards resisted the assault.
Three adult males were also killed in the raid, including one of bin Laden's sons, whom officials did not name. One of bin Laden's sons, Hamza, is a senior member of al-Qaida.
One woman was killed, reportedly used as a shield by a male combatant, and two other women were injured.

US releases Bin Laden home videos

Washington (CNN) -- Haunting and candid videos emerged of Osama bin Laden on Saturday, never-seen-before footage that provides clues into the psyche and stature of the world's most wanted terrorist.
Intelligence officials on Saturday unveiled five different videos of bin Laden that were confiscated from the raid by U.S. forces at his Pakistan compound, which left the al Qaeda leader and four others dead.
Officials say the new videos collected from the site in Abbottabad are a small slice of the haul considered to be the most significant amount of intelligence ever collected from a senior terrorist.
The video and other intelligence show that the slain al Qaeda leader was very much in control over the network's day-to-day operations, according to Pentagon officials briefing reporters.
The intelligence reveals that bin Laden and al Qaeda had a driving interest in taking on the United States and that the leader was involved in the details of plotting attacks.
The U.S. government edited and selected the snippets, and there is no audio to accompany the images. The lack of sound punctuates the chilling imagery and keeps bin Laden's words from being used as, officials say, militant propaganda.
One video looks like a home movie, a portrait of an old man watching television, but it is an image of a terrorist and suggests how conscious bin Laden was of his image.
Sporting a white-gray beard, bin Laden is seen sitting in front of a small television, flipping through a selection of satellite channels as he intently views video footage of himself.

President Trump releases photo of hero dog injured in Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi raid

Who’s a good boy?President Trump answered that question Monday afternoon when he tweeted a photo of the U.S. military dog injured in the raid that claimed the life of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The hero dog -- name still a mystery -- was unveiled in a tweet, reading: “We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!” The photo was released hours after Army Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters during a briefing Monday that the dog “performed a tremendous service” and was “slightly wounded” but is now “fully recovering.” PENTAGON SAYS MILITARY DOG INJURED IN AL-BAGHDADI RAID 'FULLY RECOVERING'  President Trump released a photo Monday of the military dog injured in the Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi raid over the weekend.  HOW ISIS LEADER AL-BAGHDADI’S HEADLESS BODY WAS ID’D MINUTES AFTER DEATH The dog has “returned to duty” and is back “with its handler,” he said. Trump first revealed Sunday that military dogs chased al-Baghdadi down a dark underground tunnel before the terrorist leader detonated a suicide vest. Defense Secretary Mark Esper, along with Milley, held the briefing Monday to discuss details of the raid, saying no U.S. troops were killed in the operation. The officials also confirmed that videos and photos of the raid exist. “We do have videos, photos,” Milley said. “We’re not prepared at this time to release those. They’re going through a declassification process.” Both Trump and the officials indicated Monday that footage could be released at some stage. AL-BAGHDADI KILL: HOW THE DARING MILITARY OPERATION WENT DOWN Milley also said service members obtained certain “material” during the raid, but said, “I don't want to say exactly what or how much. Further, he confirmed that two adult men were captured alive from the compound and have been taken to a secure facility. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed that the disposal of al-Baghdadi’s remains “is complete and was handled appropriately.” A source told Fox News on Monday the remains were buried at sea – the same approach used with Al Qaeda mastermind Usama bin Laden to prevent a grave from becoming a rallying point or shrine for followers. The death of al-Baghdadi was a milestone in the fight against ISIS, which brutalized swaths of Syria and Iraq and sought to direct a global campaign from a self-declared caliphate. A yearslong campaign by American and allied forces led to the recapture of the group's territorial holding, but its violent ideology has continued to inspire attacks. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP “Baghdadi and the thugs who followed him were responsible for some of the most brutal atrocities of our time,” Esper said. “His death marks a devastating blow for the remnants of ISIS who are now deprived of their inspirational leader following the destruction of their physical caliphate e

Pakistan: Bin Laden's compound to be turned into graveyard - reports

Footage filmed on Tuesday shows the site of Osama bin Laden's former compound in Bilal Town, Abbottabad, which local authorities have reportedly decided to turn into a graveyard in a decision made on July 21. Bin Laden was killed at the compound by US Navy Seals on May 2, 2011, before his body was taken away.

SOT, Local resident (Urdu): It is more important to build this street than make a park here, people are in big trouble due to this street, you can see there is rainwater on the other side, no vehicle can move in this, even the patients [can't be moved]. I am on dialysis, and can hardly walk through. Before making it a park it is better they re-build this street. I suggest they should turn this into a school, of the federal government.

SOT, Bashir Khan, member of local govenrment (Urdu): We have taken a decision to take this place for use as a graveyard, with no more than 500 graves or 1,000 graves. It will resolve a great problem for these poor people around here.

Hoax: White House Claims 4-Year-Old Bin Laden Video Is New Footage
Dubious Bin Laden Home Movies Identical To Tapes Released 4 Years Ago By Pentagon Front Group
May 7, 2011

In a desperate effort to bolster its crumbling official narrative, the White House today released a set of dubious Bin Laden home movies purportedly seized from his compound during the raid on Sunday night that it claims show Bin Laden on camera in 2010, but the tapes are almost identical to footage released almost four years ago by a notorious Pentagon front group that acts as a conduit for US intelligence by regularly releasing fake Al-Qaeda videos.

Before we even look at the new tapes, recall that the Washington Post reported last year on how CIA officials recruited darker-skinned employees to create fake Bin Laden tapes. The fact that the CIA created fake Bin Laden tapes is an admitted fact, not a conspiracy theory.

Extraordinary home videos taken from Osama bin Laden's hideout show the terrorist leader watching news coverage of himself on television, reports the Daily Mail.

The videos were seized by Navy SEALs after Bin Laden was killed. They were shown to reporters this afternoon by intelligence officials.

One of the videos purports to show Bin Laden watching television news reports about himself. The footage is filmed from almost behind his head and only shows a small portion of his face. The TV shows footage of Bin Laden as well as still images and footage of Barack Obama. Interestingly, the only moment in which the cameraman zooms in on the TV so that you can clearly see the picture is when it either shows Bin Laden, Obama, or both of them in a still shot together.

Contrary to the footage of Bin Laden allegedly flicking through television channels, in which his beard is gray, in the other tapes, which the White House claims were recorded between October and November 2010, Bin Laden appears with his beard dyed black. The man watching TV appears to be much older than the Bin Laden seen in the other tapes.

MSNBC ran the video under the headline New Video Shows Bin Laden In Gold Robe. However, these tapes are almost identical to footage first released by the Pentagon front group SITE in September 2007. In that footage, Bin Laden also appears with a dyed beard and is wearing exactly the same clothes. The only thing that differs is the color of the background, but in other tapes the background is the same brown color as the 2007 tape. As computer expert Neal Krawetz's analysis revealed, fake backgrounds are often used on purported Al-Qaeda tapes, where a blue screen is used to superimpose the figure of the speaker over a pre-selected backdrop.

The footage in these tapes purports to show Bin Laden making recordings in late 2010, and yet he looks identical to how he appeared in tapes first released in 2007.

The establishment media has completely failed to even mention the fact that much of the footage, which the White House claims was filmed in 2010, is almost identical to that first released in 2007 by the Pentagon front group SITE. Why would Bin Laden make a video in October 2010 and not release it? Unless this is merely outtakes from the footage already released four years ago.

It would not be the first time that tapes of Bin Laden have been passed off as new material when in fact they are years old.

In July 2007, the mainstream media heralded the arrival of a tape of Bin Laden giving a speech as new footage. In fact it was almost six years old, having been filmed in October 2001 and later released by IntelCenter, SITE's sister organization, in October 2003. At the time we did an image comparison proving that the footage dubbed new in 2007 was in fact filmed in 2001 and released first by the Al-Ansaar Islamic news agency in 2002.

As we documented yesterday, the organization that released the original 2007 tape which is virtually identical to the tapes released by the White House today is nothing more than a conduit for Pentagon propaganda run the daughter of a former Israeli spy.

The SITE organization is virtually a contractor for the U.S. government, receiving some $500,000 a year annually from Uncle Sam, and has been caught releasing fake Al-Qaeda tapes on numerous occasions. SITE's website domain is hosted by servers located in Washington DC, which are stationed between the Department of Homeland Security and the Israeli Embassy.

As in the 2007 tape, the As-Sahab logo appears in the new tapes released by the White House. A 2007 investigation by Neal Krawetz featured in Wired Magazine found that the As-Sahab logo was added at the same as the IntelCenter logo, another US military-industrial complex front,
