Ladakh Road Trip | Chandigarh to Leh by Road | Adventure

Hello everyone. This was an amazing ladakh road trip for me in October. This was my 5th road trip to Ladakh and 2nd in pre-winters. Ladakh is full of challenges in every weather. In summers you find lots of ice, in monsoon you find nallas / floods and in winters you have to go through cold and dry weather. Days are are warm and nights are chilled.

We started from Chandigarh and halt first day in Manali. Then on 2nd day after crossing Rohtang La and Keylong we halt in Jispa. Then on the third day we started early morning and reached Leh by evening.

From over 8 hours of recording, it was difficult what to show and what not to. But I have tried not miss anything important and beautiful. But obviously nothing can be compared to experience it self.

This will be a virtual drive for you to Ladakh. Please sit back and enjoy the drive and I am happy to answer all your questions. Please leave your questions in the comment box and do not forget to subscribe.

Thank you again for watching. Good luck!

Srinagar to Leh By NH1 May 2018

Hello Friends welcome to another vlog.
Srinagar to Leh Ladakh NH1 Road Trip Zojila Pass HD May 2018

The 434 KM long Srinagar – Leh Highway is almost like a lifeline in the form of road connectivity between Leh – Ladakh and rest of India via Kashmir Valley. Srinagar – Leh Highway also known as National Highway NH1 is the most reliable and one of the only two ways to reach Leh.
The highway runs alongside the Indus River and through some extremely harsh and barren terrain including the three high mountain passes named Zoji La (3528 Mtrs), Namki La (3815 Mtrs) and Fotu La (4108 Mtrs).
Srinagar – Leh highway offers some breathtaking landscapes ornamented by various historical and cultural constructions which are just like a dream treat for any traveler driving/riding through Srinagar Leh Highway.
Srinagar Highway generally remains closed for about 6 months in a year starting from November to May due to heavy snowfall on the mountain passes mainly Zoji La pass. Zoji La pass starts receiving snowfall in the month of November
Its a two days journey from srinagr to leh with a overnight saty in kargil
Next day one need to start early morning from kargil to leh in time as the route has lots of places to get down and click pictures.
hope you like the video of our journey Srinagar to Leh Ladhak
Just seat back and enjoy the journey with most beautiful and breathe taking views

Follow Stray Artist on Social Media :-

Episode 1: Its time for some Epic, Epic Vlogs. Its time to start the Roadtrip to Ladakh. In this vlog we are going to ride from Delhi to Banikhet. Its is going to be amazing, as we are filled with energy & we are very excited to visit ladakh. It is going to get hot today not because of the weather but because of how awesome this vlog is.

A pilgrimage for every rider. Ladakh is a destination that every traveler has on its list. The difficult roads, getting stuck in Manali traffic for hours, standing hours in the que to pass Khardungla, waiting in line for that one mandatory picture on every pass on the land of high passes and many more memories that a traveler to ladakh carries with him. Bikers eagerly waits for the news of leh manali highway getting open every year. The craze of going ladakh cannot be seized by one and every year more and more tourist check off Ladakh from their bucket list to visit back again. We being our traveler self witnessed all this and carried all the memories in our heart and came back with a promise to show you Ladakh like never before. This is just the trailer, our Vlogs will be much more. The series is going to be epic. So gear up everyone because we have arrived with the dream ride,

Route: Delhi - Srinagar - Kargil - Leh - Manali - Delhi.

Ladakh (land of high passes) is a region in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir and its culture and history are closely related to that of Tibet. Ladakh is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and culture.

Historically, the region included the Baltistan (Baltiyul) valleys (now mostly in Pakistan), the entire upper Indus Valley, the remote Zanskar, Lahaul and Spiti to the south, much of Ngari including the Rudok region and Guge in the east, Aksai Chin in the northeast (extending to the Kun Lun Mountains), and the Nubra Valley to the north over Khardong La in the Ladakh Range. Contemporary Ladakh borders Tibet to the east, the Lahaul and Spiti regions to the south, the Vale of Kashmir, Jammu and Baltiyul regions to the west, and the southwest corner of Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass in the far north.

Aksai Chin is one of the disputed border areas between China and India. It is administered by China as part of Hotan County but is also claimed by India as a part of the Ladakh region of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In 1962, China and India fought a brief war over Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh, but in 1993 and 1996 the two countries signed agreements to respect the Line of Actual Control.

In the past Ladakh gained importance from its strategic location at the crossroads of important trade routes, but since the Chinese authorities closed the borders with Tibet and Central Asia in the 1960s, international trade has dwindled except for tourism. Since 1974, the Government of India has successfully encouraged tourism in Ladakh. Since Ladakh is a part of strategically important Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian military maintains a strong presence in the region.

The largest town in Ladakh is Leh, followed by Kargil. The government of Jammu and Kashmir created a separate administrative division from Kashmir division with headquarters on rotational basis 6month(summer) in kargil and 6month in leh(winter) Tibetan Buddhists (39.7%) and Hindus (12.1%) collectively represent the majority of the population while a plurality of Ladakhis (46.4%) are Muslims (mainly Shia). Other religious groups include Sikhs etc. Some activists from Leh have in recent times called for Ladakh to be constituted as a union territory because of perceived unfair treatment by Kashmir and Ladakh's cultural differences with predominantly Muslim Kashmir while people of Kargil oppose UT status for Ladakh.

The 434 KM long Srinagar – Leh Highway is like a lifeline in the form of road connectivity between Leh – Ladakh and rest of India via Kashmir Valley. Srinagar – Leh Highway, also known as National Highway – 1D (NH – 1D), is the most reliable and one of the only two roads to reach Ladakh by road, the other one being Manali – Leh Highway

চলুন লাদাখ যাই | Ladakh Road Trip 01 | Srinagar to Kargil | Sonmarg | Zojilla Pass

A Himalayan Roadtrip

Together with my friend Doove we flew to India with an ambitious plan: to ride up the Highest Road in the World.

This 3 week journey lead us up high through India's Himalayas. We rented bikes in Manali and drove the Trans Himalayan Highway to Leh, then summited Khardung La (The world's highest motorable road) and headed east to Srinagar near the Pakistan border before returning to Manali.

Ladakh Road Trip - Manali to Ladakh | Jispa - Sarchu | Leh | Nubra Valley | Pangong Tso | Hanle

#LadakhRoadTrip #ManaliToLadakh #Ladakh #PangongTso #Hanle

Presenting you with my all in one Ladakh Road Trip October 2017. I had earlier uploaded my Ladakh road trip in various episodes. Soon I realized how popular they are getting, especially, my video Chandigarh to Leh and Pangong Tso to Rezang La. May of my viewers had a lot of questions about roads of different parts of Ladakh. Therefore, I thought of merging my entire Ladakh Road Trip into one, giving you a complete feel of my total adventure. The only part which is not in this video is Hunder to Turtuk, but you can check it out in the links below this description.

Now, I received tons of suggestions and requests in my previous Ladakh videos about distance, time, weather, places to stay etc. Though this video is already done in 2017, therefore I cannot cover all parts of your requests, but I did try to cover up the distance and time in this version.

On the top right box in the video, you can see the Journey details, the distance, time taken and total distance. Since, the journey has started from Manali itself, therefore, the total distance (or the distance covered) mentioned in the video is the total distance covered from Manali. I have also mentioned the altitudes of the place as we cover them

The total distance covered in the entire journey is 1,444 Km (or 898 Miles)

Here is the route map of the Journey:

Manali - Rohtang La - Keylong - Jispa - Baralacha La - Sarchu - Nakela - Lachulung La - Pang - More Plains - Tanglang La - Leh - Khardung La - Disket - Hunder - Sand Dunes - Pangong Tso (Lukung / Spangmik) - Chushul - Rezang La - Hanle - Hanle Observatory - Nyoma - Tso Kar - Thukje - More Plains - Pang - Sarchu - Jispa - Manali
