The Old Testament Told in Only 5 Minutes

The Old Testament Told in Only 5 Minutes

This is a brilliant and very quick review of the Old Testament. What's most shocking (but accurate) is the depiction of the fall of Israel and its' people due to disobedience to GOD.
Thank you RiverGlen Christian Church for putting this together, and allowing me to share it.

The Book of Revelation Explained in Under 5 Minutes

Please watch: The ONE Thing Every Christian Should Be Doing But Most Are NOT!

Have you ever wondered what the book of Revelation is all about?

INTRODUCTION: And today we are talking about the book of Revelation, a book that has several different interpretations and one that many Christians avoid reading and some are even afraid to read it. But today I want to take you through a 7-fold chronological journey through the book of Revelation.

1. Background – Rev. 1:1
a. Name – The name of the book comes from the first verse, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” which lets us know that this book is all about the unveiling or uncovering of the person, plan and power of Jesus Christ.
b. Written in 95 A.D. by the Apostle John who also wrote the gospel of John and the letters 1, 2, and 3 John

2. Letters to Churches – Rev. 2-3
a. Letters from Jesus to 7 churches in Asia minor and each church
b. Each letter exposes some aspect of the churches in that day and the modern day churches
c. These chapters represent the church age in which we currently live

3. Tribulation – Chapters 6-19 – The next thing that will happen is the church will be raptured and the tribulation will begin.
a. This represents a 7-year period of time after the church has been raptured where God allows those who are left behind one final opportunity accept Him as Savior.
b. But the catch is that , because there is no church wickedness and evil are rampant throughout this section making it very difficult for people to choose Jesus.
c. The final 3 ½ years of this period are what’s called the Great Tribulation. And man it’s gonna get bad (no drinking water, painful sores, sun will get so hot it will scorch the skin of men.”

4. The Battle – 19
a. After these things there is the battle of Armageddon. It won’t be much of a battle because Satan and his armies will be severely destroyed by Jesus.
b. Satan will be bound for 1000 years

5. 1000 year reign – Rev. 20:6 – This is the actual Second Coming of Jesus Christ. All Christians from all time will reign physically on earth with Jesus. Satan will be bound during this time so there will no demonic influence for 1000 years.

6. Judgments – Rev. 20:11-15 – Satan & every unbeliever who has ever lived will then stand before God and be judged for their sins and then cast into the Lake of Fire for eternal separation from God.

7. New Heaven & New Earth – Rev. 21:1 –
a. Interestingly enough there are only 4 chapters in the bible where there is a perfect environment (Gen. 1-2 & Rev. 21-22).
b. And so what we see here is the magnificent story of God coming full circle and God reestablishing the perfect environment that He had intended.
c. The Bible says that the earth, which is decaying every day, is not fit for eternity so God will destroy this current earth and create a new heaven and a new earth where we will dwell with Him throughout all eternity.

I hope this short video if nothing more will encourage you to study this book and see the awesome plan God has the future and most importantly that this book will give us as Christians the comfort in knowing that no matter how crazy things appear in this world that God was, is and always will be in complete control.

The Old Testament in 5 Minutes

The Old Testament in Five Minutes

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He created the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve. Adam and Eve were in harmony with each other, with nature, and with God.

Then Adam and Eve rebelled against God, choosing to follow an evil spirit named Satan. From then on, Adam and Eve and their descendents had a damaged relationship with each other, with nature, and most importantly, with God.
Instead of worshipping God, people began to worship animals, stars, and evil spirits. They became violent toward one another, and did every shameful thing.

Even though people deserved death for their rebellion, God was gracious. When somebody sinned, he could sacrifice an innocent animal like a lamb or a calf. God would be satisfied with the death of this animal instead of the person. These sacrifices were symbols of the way that God planned to satisfy both his justice on sin and his love for us.

God spoke to a man named Abraham. He promised that if Abraham worshipped and obeyed him, that God would give him land, prosperity, and descendants. Most importantly, God said that all the nations of the earth would be blessed through Abraham. Abraham believed God and followed his instructions to move to the land of Canaan.

Abraham's descendents were called the Israelites. At one point in their history, they moved from Canaan to Egypt to escape a famine. While they were in Egypt, the Israelites multiplied rapidly. This worried the Egyptians, so they made the Israelites slaves.

After 400 years of slavery, the Israelites called out to God to save them. God sent them a powerful leader, Moses. Moses asked the king of Egypt to release the Israelites, but he refused. God sent many disasters on Egypt to show them his power, but the king of Egypt refused to let God`s people go.

Then God sent a final disaster: An angel to kill every first born in Egypt. But God told the Israelites that if they put the blood of a lamb on the door, that the angel of death would pass over that house. So many people died in Egypt that the king finally released the Israelites. From then on, the Israelites created a yearly holiday called the Passover to remember this event.

Moses brought the people out of Egypt to a mountain in the desert. Their, God made a special agreement with the Israelites. If they would worship and obey him, then he would give them the land of Caanan and care for them forever. The people agreed, and God told Moses how the people needed to live in order to please him. These instructions were also called the law.

But God knew that the people would not be able to obey him perfectly. So he also set up a system with priests and a moveable temple where people could offer sacrifices for their sins.

After this, the Israelites went to war against the nations in Canaan, and they took possession of the land God had promised them. They divided up the land into 12 provinces for the 12 tribes. However, the Israelites soon rejected God and began worshipping the false gods of the people who lived there before. This began a cycle of rebellion and rescue. The people would reject God, and God would allow other nations to defeat them. Then they would cry out to God, and he would send a leader to bring them to victory.

The people didn't understand that it was their sin that made their nation weak. They thought that if they had a king, like other nations, then they would be strong. God allowed them to get a king, but most of the kings were wicked rulers who taught the people to disobey God.

There was only one truly good king: David. As a boy, David was a shepherd. He grew up to be a poet, warrior, and king. David loved God with all his heart, and God promised David's that his throne would endure forever.

But Israel continued to disobey God. God sent messengers to warn the people of the judgment of God, but they didn't listen. Finally, God let the Babylons invade, conquer, and deport the Israelites. While they were in Babylon, the Israelites repented of their sins and commited to keeping their agreement with God. The Persians conquered the Babylonians and allowed the Israelites to return once again to their homeland.

The Israelites truly tried to obey God, but they were still aware that they could not follow God perfectly. They were allowed to live in their homeland, but they were still under the control of foreign rulers. God promised through his messengers that he would send a saviour. Some people thought that this would be a powerful military leader, like David. Others thought that it would be a spiritual leader, like Moses. And what about God's promise that Abraham's family would be a blessing to all nations?
The end of the Old Testament leaves God's people waiting for the answer.

Genesis - Bible Books In 5 Minutes | #bible #genesis

► (Watch Crosspaint Distraction-FREE)

Genesis is the first book of the Bible and speaks of beginnings—of the heavens and the earth, of light and darkness, of seas and skies, of land and vegetation, of sun and moon and stars, of sea and air and land animals, of human beings, of marriage and family, of society and civilization, of wrongdoings and redemption.

The book of Genesis is foundational to the understanding of the rest of the Bible. Its message is rich and complex, and listing its main elements gives a succinct outline of the Biblical message as a whole. It is supremely a book that speaks about relationships, highlighting those between God and his creation, between God and humankind, and between human beings.

We think you will love this one. We did ;-)

History of the Bible in Five Minutes

The most accurate Book ever made through research and updates from completely reliable sources of proofs and evidences which were confirmed beyond doubt and now translated with utmost accuracy in English and other languages

Jesus is God. These 33 Bible verses prove it in 5 minutes.

Christianity is based on the belief that Jesus (part of the Holy Trinity) is God. So, where did Jesus claim to be God in the Bible? Watch this simple explanation and of where and how Jesus revealed His Divinity in the Old and New Testament.

In John chapter 5 Jesus says “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.“ After stating this, the Jewish leaders tried to k ill Him because in calling God his own Father, [Jesus was] making himself equal with God. He was claiming to be the unique Son of God.
In the New Testament Jesus uses the term my Father as a direct and unmistakable declaration of his sonship. In verse 23 he claims that the Son and the Father receive the same type of honor, stating: so that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. 3 verses later he claims to possess life as the Father does: Just as the Father has life in himself, so also he gave to his Son the possession of life in himself.

Moving to the Gospel of Matthew, in chapter 11 Jesus claims a direct relationship to God the Father saying: No one knows the Son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the Son, asserting the shared knowledge he has with the Father.
When in chapter 16, Peter states: You are Christ, the Son of the living God, Jesus not only accepts the titles but calls Peter blessed because his declaration had been revealed to him by my Father who is in Heaven.

Jesus claims eternal existence in John chapter 8, verse 58 when he says
“Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” Here Jesus has echoed the language of deity, the same words by which God revealed Himself to Moses from the burning bush in Exodus 3:14. To the Jews, this was clear blasphemy, for they knew that in doing so Jesus was again claiming to be God.

Later in John 10:30 to 33. Jesus explicitly told the Jews: 'I and the Father are one.' Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, 'I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?' 'We are not stoning you for any of these,' replied the Jews, 'but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God'

In the Sanhedrin trial of Jesus recorded in Mark 14, Caiaphas the High Priest asked him 'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?' 'I am,' said Jesus. 'And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven'”.

Further, in combining Daniel's prophecy with David's proclamation in Psalm 110, Jesus was claiming that He would sit upon the throne of Israel's God and share God's very glory. This was an unmistakable claim to deity.
“In response to the question ‘Who are you?’ Jesus’ response is basically, ‘I am the One who deserves endless worship from everyone in My own kingdom, where I will sit on the very throne of God. I am Yahweh.’” This was the height of blasphemy, and so they all condemned him as worthy of deat h as recorded in Mark 14:64 and 65.

In reading through the rest of the New Testament, one can see that the title of God (theos) is certainly connected to Jesus (John 1:1, 18; 20:28; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8; and 2 Peter 1:1). In many places, the authors refer to Jesus in ways that can only apply to God, calling him eternal (Revelation 1:17, compared with Micah 5:2), even though there is only one eternal God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 33:27). the created of all things (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16), though there is only one Creator (1 Peter 4:19). present everywhere (Matthew 28:20), though there is only one omnipresent God (Acts 17:27, 28). And receives worship from people and angels (Matthew 14:33; Philippians 2:10; Hebrews 1:6), even though the Old Testament prohibits worshipping anyone other than God (Exodus 20:1-5; Deuteronomy 5:6-9). Because each of these characteristics can only be said of God, then clearly the authors of the New Testament also believed Jesus was God.

After Jesus asked, Who do people say that I am? He asked an even more significant question, But who do you say that I am? (Mark 8:29).
