Why Not to Illegally Stream or Download Films or TV Shows

Websites are one of the most common ways to get infected with malware. Sadly people frequently ignore browser warnings about the dangers of certain websites, thinking that everything will be OK. Many torrent search and illegal film streaming sites are loaded with malware, and it is best to avoid them. This is especially because some malware is used to steal user's banking logins or valuable personal data. So instead of watching what you want for free, you could actually lose money due to cyber-fraud or other nefarious activity. Legal film streaming services are not free, but are safe from malware, which makes them by far the safest option to watch film and TV shows online. They are a much better option that taking a chance on many of the malware riddled streaming and torrent sites currently available.

Hollywood strikes against illegal streaming Kodi add-ons | Engadget Today

This a blow against piracy-linked streaming tools.

An anti-piracy alliance supported by many major US and UK movie studios, broadcasters and content providers has dealt a blow to the third-party Kodi add-on scene after it successfully forced a number of popular piracy-linked streaming tools offline. In what appears to be a coordinated crackdown, developers including jsergio123 and The_Alpha, who are responsible for the development and hosting of add-ons like urlresolver, metahandler, Bennu, DeathStreams and Sportie, confirmed that they will no longer maintain their Kodi creations and have immediately shut them down.

Is it Legal to use Emulators? Is emulation illegal / allowed?

This evaluation of the legality of emulation games, emulators and roms is brought to you by your site for game cheats, mods and hacks of all kinds.

Short: Emulators are legal under fair use law (in countries that do hold to that princible), but the use of Roms (copies of games) anf especially the download is illegal under most piracy laws. However, copyright that is not defended is virtually inexistent and old games that are not even aviailable for purchase anymore, are usually not being defended by developers and publishers. Also noone is harmed if you download a rom of a 12 year old game. All the developer gets is free advertising.

POPCORN TIME is like NETFLIX. But it's totally ILLEGAL!

A loose collective of genius programmers has created a new underground free movie streaming service called Popcorn Time. People all over the world are watching television shows and movies over the internet on computers and tablets and smartphone for FREE. It's not legal in any sense of the word. But it's out there, and from what I've seen and heard, it's very, very well done. It's basically a torrent, or a sharing service among all its users. Hundreds of movies, including some still in pay-per-view, have been made available for free by Popcorn Time. The interface is clean and extremely easy to use - easier than Hulu or Netflix in my opinion. Once again, file sharing content you don't have the right to distribute is completely illegal and prosecutable at the federal level. Even VPNs can be discovered and traced. But thousands of folks are doing it anyway. popcorn time, netflix, video streaming, movies

Popcorn Time is the Illegal Netflix

Popcorn Time is a new app that provides a Netflix-like experience for pirated movies. Movies load quickly and play relatively smoothly - except we can't show you that in this video, since it's totally illegal in the United States, as is made clear in the app's FAQs.

People would Rather Watch Netflix and Chill Than Pirate Movies Illegally

Torrenting site BitTorrent has seen a steady drop in website traffic. BitTorrent has gone from 31% of internet traffic to just 5%. And streaming services like Netflix have picked up the slack. According to a new report from broadband analytics firm Sandvine, Netflix and other streaming services like YouTube and Amazon now account for over 40% of all internet traffic, eclipsing BitTorrent entirety. Sandvine CEO Dave Caputo explained, “Streaming Video has grown at such a rapid pace in North America that the leading service in 2015, Netflix, now has a greater share of traffic than all of streaming audio and video did five years ago. Sandvine confirms what many viewers all ready know: most regular people would much rather pay a small fee for on-demand content rather than going through the hassle of downloading torrents.
