Skills for Success in Any Career

1. Professional Communication

The importance of professional communication skills cannot be overstated. Whether you are speaking with your coworkers via email, phone, or video call, what you say — and how you say it — matters.

2. Organization

Organization skills begin with a decision to clean up and clear out. To avoid the dreaded “Did you get my email?” message, you might have to consider the unthinkable: folders. Create folders for certain people and/or projects.

3. Keep Learning New Skills

Technology is changing every day. The skills that were impressive just a few years ago are now, sadly, outdated. The ability to recognize when updated or new skills are required is invaluable in any career.

4. Sales

You don’t have to work in the sales department to hone your sales skills. In fact, the ability to sell comes in handy in virtually every career on the planet.

Do you know your product? Can you use it well enough to teach someone else how it works? This is important knowledge for any employee.

5. Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is not an easy skill to hone, but once you can use it, you will instantly become more valuable as an employee (and improve the overall quality of your life!).

6. Keep Your Commitments

Consistently showing up early for meetings sends an important signal: you’re reliable. If you plan to be early and then life (bad hair day, traffic, mass escape by animals at the local zoo) happens, you still have the potential to show up on time. Unfortunately, that’s not the case if you plan to be on time.

7. Flexibility

The ability to go with the flow without compromising quality is invaluable in any career. As long as there are plans, there will be wrenches to mess them up. But as long as you’re flexible, you can keep plugging along with confidence.

8. Time Management

Prioritizing your daily tasks is of utmost importance when you’re striving to manage your time. In addition, checking your email at designated times can help eliminate any pressure you may feel to answer your messages as soon as they arrive in your inbox (one of the main culprits of suffering time management).

9. Be a Team Player
Do you work well in groups and on teams? If so, congratulations! You possess a skill that employers value and that few people can claim.

10. Grace Under Pressure
Stay calm and collected in difficult situations. Most importantly, reframe tasks that you don’t enjoy into challenges to be overcome.

The 25 Best Jobs of 2018 and Expected Demand by 2026 | High Paying Careers

The 25 Best Jobs of 2018 and Expected Demand by 2026 | High Paying Careers
Thanks to high salaries and increased demand for their services, health care professions dominate the Best Jobs of 2018 list. But even though they account for 20 of the 25 top careers, no doctor or nurse position beat the best profession of the year: software developer. The ubiquity of digital technology has made these career coders critical to modern life.

Data for this list comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an arm of the federal Department of Labor. The highest median salary the agency records is $208,000, so some of the following professions may actually offer median annual incomes higher than that amount.

Stay tuned to see a countdown of the best careers and learn about each profession.

Highest Paying Jobs without a 4 year degree - 2018 Edition

Please watch: What is Unconditional Love? True Love Relationship Tips
Subscribe here ► Here's a common question: Is it possible to get a job that pays well without spending four or more years at a traditional college or university?

The answer is yes. Absolutely. In fact, a lot of people choose to bypass that longer path and end up with some of America's highest-paying jobs. Without a degree like a bachelor's, they are still able to out-earn many four-year college graduates.

So, what does it take? It takes a broader view of your educational options as well as the enthusiasm to learn what kinds of skills are actually needed in the marketplace. That's what this article is for. Let it be your introduction to a world of high-paying careers—with little schooling necessary—that you might not have considered before. The opportunities for those with just two years or less of trade school or vocational training can be surprising.

In contrast to most traditional four-year institutions, career and technical schools specialize in putting students on a more defined path to succeeding in the job market. And they offer the chance to earn quick degrees or diplomas and complete fast certification programs. In fact, many of the highest-paying entry-level jobs can be attained with only two years or less of focused career education.

That's the real value of short vocational schooling. It's all about getting new opportunities and positive return on investment (ROI), which is the extra amount you can earn in your lifetime as a graduate, after subtracting the cost of schooling and the amount that a typical non-graduate would earn.

The ROI of graduating from a vocational college or trade school is often very good since you're being taught marketable skills and technical abilities that employers need instead of just theory. Plus, your time is valuable. Why spend extra time in school when you can get trained and start making money in a good career sooner?

Black Excellist: Top 25 Jobs without 4 Year College Degree

Black Excellist: Top 25 Jobs w/o 4 Year College Degree

A post-secondary education certainly improves your chances of finding a high-paying job. However, because of life’s many challenges, many do not have the opportunity, time, or money to attend a 4-year college to earn a Bachelor’s Degree. Due to rising tuition costs across America and more concern about lingering debt from school loans, many African Americans are considering management roles and higher-ranking positions in their respective fields as an alternative career path to college. And with an unwavering drive to their goals, there are countless examples of hard workers who are excelling and earning paychecks that are higher than the national average regardless of education level.

10 Most In-Demand Jobs in 2020

Enroll in my 14 Day YouTube Challenge 2.0 course:

Today, we're going to talk about most in-demand jobs in the United States in 2020. If you watch this video up to the very end, you're going to learn about 10 job positions that are in high demand in the United States which means there are a lot of openings on different websites across different platforms. If you have skills required for listed positions you have really good chances of being employed and getting a high salary.

The ranking is based on median base salary, number of job openings and overall job satisfaction.

10. Business development managers are the cornerstone of any successful organization because they ultimately generate new revenue and help a company grow. The primary objective is to identify new business opportunities.

9. Strategy manager. In order for a company to grow, objectives for growth with minimal risks must be set. An individual tasked with advising as to how best to achieve these goals is a strategy manager. This professional assesses the organization’s goals, determining which ones are realistic and work with the company executives to formulate actionable plans to achieve the said objectives.

8. Speech pathologists help individuals with a range of disorders related to speech, language and swallowing. These professionals can work in schools, hospitals and specialty clinics.

7. Software engineers are computer science professionals who use knowledge of engineering principles and programming languages to build software products, develop computer games, and run network control systems.

Content creator. This profession is not on the list because companies are not really hiring professionals of this kind work for themselves. If you're not excited about coding, management, medicine but you like to create content, then this profession might be for you.

6. A data engineer transforms huge amounts of data into a useful format for analysis.

5. DevOps engineers are expected to work with software developers, operators of systems, production staff, and IT to oversee the release of code. Engineers must provide the resources needed and come up with the most effective model for deployment and the protocols for testing, validation, and release of the software.

4. Product managers are responsible for guiding the success of a product and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. It is an important organizational role — especially in technology companies — that sets the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product or product line.

3. Data scientists are big data wranglers, gathering and analyzing large sets of structured and unstructured data. They’re part mathematician, part computer scientist and part trend-spotter. And, because they straddle both the business and IT worlds, they’re highly sought-after and well-paid.

2. A Java Developer is responsible for the design, development, and management of Java-based applications. Because Java is used so widely, particularly by large organizations, the daily roles vary widely but can include owning a particular application or working on several at one time.

1. A front-end developer is a web developer that codes the front end of a website. While web design is the way a website looks, front end development is how that design actually gets implemented on the web.

10 Highest Paying Jobs Without A Degree

Top 6 Surprising High End Careers (NO DEGREE REQUIRED)

Okay so this one you really need to listen to because in the next 50 years college isn't going to be what it used to be and there will be tons of opportunities in other places.

You absolutely don't have to go to college to be successful and this video will show you alternatives that are amazing opportunities for you

:) Enjoy

So this is a very polarizing topic in the modern age. On one side you have a ton of people online that claim getting a degree is a huge scam, then on the other side you have people that claim getting a degree is a proven path to success.

So the big question is, who is right?

And with most big questions the answer is... IT DEPENDS

In this video I'm going to be exploring how you can be EXTREMELY successful WITHOUT getting a college degree.

And this isn't some crazy scenario where someone wins the lottery or their uncle hands them an overpaid job or they get really lucky...

These are all legitimate paths that THOUSANDS of people have taken to achieve success in the modern age.

While everyone else was spending tons of money and nearly a half of a decade of their life getting a college degree, the professions in this video can all be attained without sacrificing any of that.

One great thing about this is that you can start investing earlier than everyone else because you have cashflow right away. This is a huge advantage as if you ever look at a compound interest calculator, starting to invest 4 years earlier can make hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars difference depending on what you're investing in etc

Also I'd like to mention that all of these careers/jobs are in the mythical six figure range and many of them actually start off at six figures. Some of these will have huge variances in salary depending on where you live and some wont.

Some of these jobs have certain downsides where you will have to travel a lot and some of them are all in on place. Some will have openings everywhere whereas others will only be in one place in the entire world

These are all reasons why you have to really look into the job and see if its the right fit for you when thinking about choosing your career

It's always important to do career research and make sure to take your time making your decision with things like this because once you go into a career and dedicate a bunch of time to it, its hard to pivot out of the career. You can still switch careers, but you will have wasted a lot of time and energy.

This is an important video to watch if you want to position yourself for success and land in a field where you will easily be able to get to the six figure range and live a good life. Once you're stable and living a good life where you don't have to worry about money all the time, this will allow you to pursue your other goals and dreams.

I think this is a much better way of doing things rather than what a lot of people suggest which is going all in on your passions. This can work, but it's extremely risky. All things that are good and worth it take time to build, and how can you build something if you don't have a steady and stable foundation to stand on?

Think back on your life and all of the things that you're proud of, were you able to build that in a day? It probably took a lot of time. Very few people get lucky and get rich quick even when it looks like they did do just that they were working on their craft in the dark for years without any recognition.

And even if you did get really lucky and won something sort of like the lottery think about how meaningless that would be. It wouldn't be anything to be proud of.

This is why I think in a world full of gurus telling you to get rich quick the smartest thing to do is to get yourself in a stable situation and then maybe think about investing in those courses and learning how to make money in other ways. This is the most stable and predictable way to get success

If you read this far into the description/rant thank you. I work extremely hard on these videos and I would truly appreciate it if you would like, subscribe and hit that notification bell so you'll know when I upload. I'm thinking of uploading all of my videos around 3:45PM on Monday/Wed/Friday but not 100% sure yet, still have to do some research

Thanks again and have a good one!
