TOP 10 Geniuses who are still alive and are the smartest people on this planet

This video is made upon the top 10 geniuses who are still alive. We have also noted the award number of some, age and IQ. Moving from the ‘lowest’ IQ’s gradually we’ll reach the highest one among them.

Number 10. Stephen W. Hawking

IQ: 160
Age: 74
Number of awards won: 14
Probably, he is the most well-known name in this list. His name gained popularity thanks to his research and books written on theoretical physics helping us to understand better the universe’s structure and functioning. He made it despite his perfidious disease called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. He’s also author of bestselling 7 books.

Number 9. Judith Polgar

IQ: 170
Age: 39
Her father tried a different educational method on her and her sisters. Through this educational method he wanted to show that it is possible to make his children professionals in given fields just in their young age. We have to confess that this method has worked well. Only 15, Polgar, becoming a chess champion, broke Bobby Fisher’s world record.

Number 8. Sir Andrew Wiles

IQ: 170
Age: 62
Number of awards won: 15
In 1995, the English mathematician, Sir Andrew Wiles, succeeded in proving a 358-year-old math theorem called Fermat’s Last Theorem. This theorem has been considered to be the most difficult one in the world. For his great contribution to mathematics, Wiles got the ‘Sir’ rank before his name.

Number 7. Paul Allen

IQ: 170
Age: 63
Scored 1600 points on SAT
Being one of the founders of Microsoft, Paul Allen has undoubtedly proved his incredible ability to turn his intellect into money. Along with being the 48th richest man in the world with his fortune of over $14.2 billion and being owner of many companies, he also is one of the greatest investors in charity work.
Number 6.James Woods

IQ: 180
Age: 68
Awards: 3 Emmies and 2 Oscar nominations
There’s not a mistake, though he is not a scientist, Wood is a real genius. He’s reached incredible score on SAT. Perhaps, he would have made a great scientist, but he caught the actor ‘virus’ and left school for good. If he had continued his academic education, it’s difficult to guess his probable high positions he would be on today.

Number 5. Kasparov

IQ: 190
Age: 52
Awards: Owner of the 1st degree chess player record.
Garry Kasparov still keeps his record. When he won ‘the youngest chess player’ appelation, he was only 22. In 2015 he gave up chess and took up politics and writing.

Number 4. Rick Rosner

IQ: 192
Age: 55
You don’t expect Rosner with 192 IQ to be mainly known as Jimmy Kimmel’s TV writer, do you? But he is not an ordinary genius. Whatever does his background not include: striptease, waiter on skates, modeling and so forth.

Number 3. Kim Ung-Yong

IQ: 210
Age: 52
The saying ‘amazing child’ today is quite often used, but when it comes to Kim Ung-Yong using this saying would be just underestimating his childhood abilities. As a 2-year-old boy he spoke 4 languages as his mother tongue with a great flow and when he was 4 years old, he attended university. If this is not enough – he was invited by NASA to work in the European Union when he was only 8.

Number 2. Christopher Hirata

IQ: 225
Age: 33
This name wakens even geniuses’ envy. Only 14, he was accepted in Caltech. 16 years old, he began working on projects like Colonization of Mars and later on, as a 22-year-old young scientist he got his PhD from the Princeton University.

Number 1. Terrence Tao

IQ: 230
Age: 40
At the age of 2 when most of us are still learning to connect simple words and walk by small steps, Tao was able to handle simple arithmetic tasks. Later on, when he was 9, he took part in university level math courses and as a 20-year-old youngster he got his PhD from the University of Princeton. He became the youngest professor ever at the University of California, when he was only 24.

World's 10 Smartest People Ever Born

Here are the world's 10 smartest people.

Determining a person’s intelligence can be a difficult and even controversial endeavor, yet Libb Thims, an electrochemical engineer, tackled it anyway. Using a combination of IQ scores, aptitude, capacity, and inclination, he ranked the greatest minds in relatively recent centuries.

Here are the 10 people he determined as the smartest in the world.

Number 10. Thomas Young. He was a doctor, a physicist, and an Egyptologist, excelling at each. Among his accomplishments were discovering the focus-related shape changes of the human eye and aiding in the translation of the Rosetta Stone.

Number 9. William Sidis. By 2 he was reading the New York Times and writing in both English and French. At 11 he was Harvard-bound. More recently, he inspired the creation of the film, “Good Will Hunting.”

Number 8. Gottfried Leibniz. Not only did he invent integral and differential calculus, he was a key contributor to the philosophy of language. In the latter realm, his major works include examinations of sufficient reason and contingent truths.

Number 7. Nicolaus Copernicus. The astronomer determined that the Earth was not, in fact, the center of the universe. His efforts were not entirely appreciated at the time, and his book on the topic was widely banned.

Number 6. Rudolf Clausius. The developments of the second law of thermodynamics and the kinetic theory of gasses are among his accomplishments. He also brought the word ‘entropy’ into the world.

Number 5. James Maxwell. Highly revered by Albert Einstein as an instrumental forefather in the formation of quantum theory, Maxwell’s work involved extensive study on electromagnetic radiation.

Number 4. Isaac Newton. As one of the most eminent 17th century scientists, Newton had groundbreaking ideas regarding physics and gravity. Though some of his writings have been disproven, they are still considered significant.

Number 3. Leonardo da Vinci. Among most famous painters of all time, da Vinci also had a lot of ideas in the fields engineering, anatomy, cartography, and geology. However, with so many irons in the fire and a penchant for procrastination, few of his plans came to fruition while he was still alive.

Number 2. Albert Einstein. The man’s work was largely devoted to developing the principle of relativity and assessing the viability of quantum theory. He also authored perhaps the most famous equation in history, e-mc squared.

Number 1. Johann Goethe. He made human chemistry a science and dabbled in the concept of evolution. Goethe was also a gifted and influential writer, debuting his now classic drama ‘Faust,’ in 1808.

Which of history’s great minds do you think most deserves the title, “World’s Smartest?”

10.) Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin was many things throughout his lifetime. He was a Founding Father, scientist, a postmaster, an ambassador, author, printer, but above all Benjamin Franklin was an inventor. And it is his inventions that prove he was one of the most intelligent people in American history. Unlike other inventors, Benjamin believed in sharing his inventions freely and he did not patent a single one. The many inventions of Franklin include bifocals, the lightning rod, the glass armonica, a library chair, swim fins, a long-reach device, the Franklin stove, and the catheter.
Benjamin Franklin was quoted as saying that out of all his inventions, his personal favorite was the glass armonica. Franklin invented the glass armonica in the mid-1700s. The glass armonica worked by filling glass bowls, which were connected. The person would then tap the bowls with their fingers to make music.
The bifocals, or glasses, he invented for his own benefit. As he grew older, his vision started to deteriorate and Franklin loved to read, write, and learn. As they say, necessity is indeed the mother of invention! The Franklin stove was invented in order for people to keep their homes warmer,
As an inventor, Benjamin is probably most well-known for the lightning rod. It was during the year 1747 he started playing with electricity after being shocked by one of his experiments. However, it wasn’t until the mid-1750s where the famous kite and key experiment occurred. This was part of his lightning rod experiment and helped him produce the lightning rod that would protect buildings for centuries to come!

9.) Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current electricity supply system, X rays, Radio, Remote Control, Laser, and electric motors. As if that weren’t enough, these aren’t even all the contributions Tesla made in history to show his intelligence. He also designed and used fluorescent bulbs in his lab some 40 years before the industry “invented” them. Furthermore, many people believe that there are still, probably dozens, of unknown inventions by Nikola Tesla.
In 1891, Tesla became a naturalized citizen of the United States. That same year Tesla also patented the Tesla Coil. This is an electrical resonant transformer circuit which is used to produce high-voltage, low-current, high-frequency alternating-current electricity. Over time, Tesla used this coil to conduct dozens of experiments. People were so impressed by Tesla during his lifetime that even other highly intelligent individuals, such as Thomas Edison, asked Tesla to help perfect their inventions. Tesla is arguably remembered as the most intelligent man ever.

8.) Satyendra Nath Bose
Satyendra Nath Bose was a famous physicist specializing in theoretical physics. He is best known for his work in quantum physics in the 1920’s. Bosons, the class of particles that obey Bose–Einstein statistics were named after Bose by Paul Dirac. If you have a particle named after you, then you know you must be one of the most intelligent and respected people on earth!
Born in Bengal, he passed the entrance exam to the Hindu School, one of India's oldest schools, with flying colors. Bose went on to get a Bachelor of Science in mixed mathematics in 1913 from Presidency College and a Master of Science in the same subject in 1915 from Calcutta University. He received such high scores on the exams for each degree that not only was he in first standing, but he even created a new record in the annals of the University of Calcutta, which has yet to be surpassed!
In 1921, Bose joined the physics department at the University of Dhaka, which had then been recently formed, and went on to establish new departments, laboratories and libraries in which he could teach advanced courses. Albert Einstein recognized the significance of Bose’s findings and soon collaborated with him to work on certain important ideas that formed the basis for Bose-Einstein statistics. These statistics won several Nobel Peace prizes.
The Indian government honored Bose in 1954 with the title Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in India. Five years later, he was appointed as the National Professor, the highest honor in the country for a scholar.

10 Smartest People Ever

Everyone engages in thought but that is merely a consequence of being human, and is fairly unremarkable. There are, however, human minds that have changed the very nature we conceptualize and conceive of things in ways no one else could have done. Sometimes we call these minds geniuses but the actual name we give them matters less than what they have done for the benefit of humanity as a whole. These are the 10 minds that have revolutionized human thought as we know it.
