WARR Hyperloop with Panasonic Industry on Board Wins SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition

Panasonic Industry’s products and know-how played an essential role in securing the pole position at the 2018 SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. The team by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) explains on how Panasonic’s laser light sensor EX-L221, TX 2 relays as well as Film Chip Resistor ERJ contributed to their design challenges.

TUM Hyperloop supported by Panasonic Industry wins SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition

The TUM Hyperloop team of the Technical University of Munich won the SpaceX Hyperloop competition for the fourth time in a row.
The Hyperloop concept was introduced in 2013 by SpaceX founder Elon Musk and since 2015 all three Hyperloop competition champions came from the Technical University of Munich.
With its expertise Panasonic Industry supports the TUM Hyperloop project. The students use components like the EX-L221 laser sensors which constantly measure the position of the pod inside the tube. Panasonic Industry Europe is proud to support the innovative and successful students of the TUM Hyperloop project.

Even though Elon Musk tweeted it first, here's the run of the WARR Hyperloop Team on the second SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. We maxed out at 324 km/h (202 mph) and are incredibly excited to have won the title of fastest pod!

Final Run SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition 2019 | Delft Hyperloop

This video is the footage from the camera that was mounted on our pod, Atlas 02. It shows our final run at the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. The pod reached a top speed of 202 km/h in just 91 meters.

A team of 30 students from the University of Munich won the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod competition on Sunday, with their prototype pod reaching a speed of 324 kilometers per hour.

The MIT Hyperloop Team will be firing their concept pod along a one-mile test track in Hawthorne, CA potentially bringing the world closer to what SpaceX CEO Elon Musk describes as a “fifth mode of transportation.”

Team WARR, the engineering team from the Technical University of Munich, regions a top speed of 327 km/h during the competition at SpaceX's Hawthorne, California, campus.

Tesla and SpaceX Founder Elon Musk held the second Hyperloop Pod competition at SpaceX headquarters.
More than 20 student groups designed pods for the competition.
A team of 30 German students named WARR Hyperloop from the Technical University of Munich won with a pod that reached more than 200 miles per hour.

Elon Musk shared the video taken from atop the winning pod as it raced around the track.
