Sometimes I travel... West Canada National Park Road Trip - 3500 miles in 7 days

To my (now 10k WHAT!?!) subscribers: Sorry for not posting last week... I tried to plan ahead but just didn't get it done. Also sorry that this isn't a normal video but I also thought I owed some kind of response as to what I was doing instead of turning things on the mini lathe. Also if I've been quiet on replying to messages, that's also why. I should be back to my more or less regular programming next week.

To new subscribers from this video: Thanks! I'm so glad you liked this one - unfortunately I can't travel as much as I'd like (who can) so this video isn't the norm for me, but rest assured there will be more and I hope you like the regular stuff.

To everyone else: Thanks for watching and I hope you liked it! Please hit that thumbs up.

Some of the things I find invaluable on trips like these:
300W inverter for charging all the batteries:
DJI Mavic Pro Drone:
GoPro:
Air Mattress (for sleeping in the car):

If you have any questions about the trip, feel free to comment below!

Checking in on Conservation in Canada

The federal government has pledged a historic $1.3 billion in conservation funding, in part to help meet its commitment to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity to protect terrestrial, coastal and marine areas by 2020. Meanwhile, in 2017 the World Wildlife Fund released the Living Planet Canada Report which painted a dismal picture for Canada's species at risk. The Agenda discusses how the country can move closer to its conservation targets.

Canada Highway Wildlife Overpass Crossings

Wildlife crossings are structures that allow animals to cross human-made barriers safely. Wildlife crossings may include: underpass tunnels, viaducts, and overpasses (mainly for large or herd-type animals); amphibian tunnels; fish ladders; tunnels and culverts (for small mammals such as otters, hedgehogs, and badgers); green roofs (for butterflies and birds).

Wildlife crossings are a practice in habitat conservation, allowing connections or reconnections between habitats, combating habitat fragmentation. They also assist in avoiding collisions between vehicles and animals, which in addition to killing or injuring wildlife may cause injury to humans and property damage.
