-As soon as you decide to remove junk food from your diet, your calorie intake will significantly decrease.
-If you replace junk food with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean meat, you'll be giving your body the fuel it needs, like fiber, calcium, protein, and an array of vitamins.
-When you cut out the junk and include more fruits and veggies in your diet, your body gets the bricks it needs to build a strong defensive system.
-Fatty greasy foods contain a lot of sodium, which can result in high blood pressure and kidney disease.
-As soon as you exclude junk food from your diet, your skin will steadily get healthier and clear up.
-Unprocessed food and lean protein actually helps build strong and healthy muscles.
-When you reduce the amount of sugary junk food in your diet, your sleep becomes more restful.
-As soon as you start supplying your body with the stuff that it desperately needs, you’ll feel much better, and, thus, your mood will improve too.
-The best foods for the eyes are those that contain a lot of lutein and beta-carotene, and you won’t find them in junk food.
-As soon as you replace junk food with products rich in protein and vitamin B7, you'll quickly see how healthy your nails are becoming.
-Processed junk doesn’t contain the omega-3 fatty acids needed for healthy hair.
-Instead of reaching for more soda or cookies, start eating healthy so that your body gets the real energy it needs.
-When you give into sugary cravings, it leads to dips and spikes in your blood sugar.
-You can change your brain’s reaction to low-calorie and high-calorie foods by adjusting your eating habits.
-The less junk food you eat, the less overall fat you have and the more toned your body is.
-When you switch to vegetables and whole foods, you’ll be rewarded with improved digestion and fewer digestive problems like bloating and constipation.
-Processed foods can easily trigger migraines.

Doctor Mike On Diets: Intermittent Fasting | Diet Review

*NEW* Become A Patreon (100% proceeds go to the charity of your choice) *NEW*
Hey guys! I've seen over and over questions and comments regarding dieting so I decided to start a series where I conduct a diet review in detail. I know many of you want to lose weight and there are many videos on weight loss out there. But I want to give you an honest doctor's take on fasting or time restricted eating.

I kicked off the series with the very popular, intermittent fasting or time-restricted eating. It's claim to fame is that helps burn belly fat/ lose your belly and it does so through fast weight loss. But is fast weight loss even healthy?

Anyway, I could go into more detail covering the smallest intricacies of the diet but I did not want to weigh down the video, both literally and figuratively. Please let me know if this is too little, too much, or just the right amount of information about intermittent fasting.

Also, I want you to remember that diets are not all about weight loss but more importantly about eating healthy. I sincerely hope you enjoy, and definitely let me know if you want more videos like this by giving it a like and a share.

Solenn and I were looking for a new challenge this year. So we decided to do a 7 day fast. The premise is simple, 7 full days, no food, just water. NOTHING ELSE. No juices, tea, coffee, broths, vitamins, etc... If it's not just water, it's not a water fast :)

Some people say it's good for you, some say it's bad. I think we are smart enough to know when something isn't working. So if you feel like this isn't for you, don't do it.

Warning: Please don't do this if you are underweight, have an eating disorder or have any medical conditions. Talk to your doctor first.

Before you try this, read up about fasting here:

And then the negative articles on fasting. It's always good to know both side:

So should you do it? It's really up to you. This is just my experience with it.

I always loved fasting for half a day, but what about for 7? Fasting has really become popular nowadays, but can be very risky if taken to extremes.

I didn’t eat for 3 days

I did an experiment and wanted to see what would happen if I didn’t eat any solid food for 3 days. I put myself on a 3 day juice cleanse. Yup. Never thought I’d be saying that.

I decided to try a juice cleanse because my body was in a complete state of chaos after my Hawaii vacation where I ate EVERYTHING my soul desired. Unfortunately, I got so bloated and started breaking out like crazy. My body was NOT happy.

So, here’s a vlog about my entire juice cleanse experience using Pressed Juicery. (NOT SPONSORED)

If you are curious about doing a juice cleanse yourself please do your own research. It would also be good to talk to a nutritionist or your doctor if you are unsure of what your body can handle.

'Slow Carbs' and the Truth About Low-Carb Diets

You‘ll be surprised to hear me say that carbohydrates are the most important thing you can eat for health and weight loss. Why? Because all plant foods are carbohydrates. These are the good, “slow” carbs you’ll find in fruits, vegetables, and even nuts and seeds. Slow carbs don’t spike your blood sugar or insulin, like carbs from pasta, bread, potatoes or rice. Instead, they fill your body with fiber. And they contain amazing molecules called phytochemicals. Studies show that powerful phytochemicals like glucosinolates, found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, may help reduce your risk of cancer. Most colorful plant foods are full of good, slow carbs. Learn more about all the beneficial things they’ll do for your health and your weight. Download the Functional Medicine Treatment Guide:

Eating Fast Food Does This To Your Body

Hi there! I'm your conscience. It's my job to inform you on the bad decisions you're about to make! Conscience to the rescue!

#FastFood #Health #Burger

Summary: Fast food is loaded with carbs, sugar, and salt and fat. When you eat food like this you can increase your risk of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes because of all the sugar your body produces when you eat this stuff. Yes, your body can handle a sugar spike every now and again, but if you're eating fast food multiple times a day, everyday, then your body doesn't really have a chance to recover.

One 12 ounce can of soda contains your total recommended daily amount of sugar. There's usually a bunch of tans fat in certain types of fast food, like pizza and that's not good for you either as it can lower the good cholesterol in your body (the HDL) and raise the LDL or bad cholesterol. All that can increase your risk of heart disease or type 2 diabetes. Another problem with delicious fast food is that it sort of tricks your brain and belly. It tricks your stomach because scientists believe that when you eat really sugary carb heavy foods, that could make you hungrier when you go to get your next meal, and you'll probably get hungrier faster. There's even been some research into the fact that fast food can become a dangerous addiction.

One study showed that eating foods that are both high in fat and sugar actually changed the bacteria in your gut, which somehow influenced a loss in a person's ability to adapt and adjust to the ever-changing world around them. If you make a habit of eating fast food on a regular basis (a couple times a week every week) you're 51% more likely to experience some form of depression.

Turns out that people who eat fast food are a type. If you fall into this category you're also more likely to be single, work late hours, not get the proper does of fruits and veggies, and are a smoker.

Mayo Clinic Minute: Why eating too many fried foods could lead to early death

As many as 1 in 3 Americans eats fast food at least once a day and most of those fast food meals include fried foods.

Research has linked higher consumption of fried foods to Type 2 diabetes and heart problems, but studies also show eating fried foods everyday could shorten your life.

Dr. Stephen Kopecky, a Mayo Clinic cardiologist, says our bodies simply did not evolve to know how to process fried foods.

What Happens To Your Body When You Don't Eat (Fast) || Dilchasp Haqaiq ||

What happens if you don’t eat for a day? The answer might seem relatively straightforward,
Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five fundamental pillars of Islam and mandatory for all healthy adult Muslims to fast from sunrise to sunset for a period of a month. During fasting, Muslims are required to refrain from all intakes of food, water, beverages, smoking and from sexual intercourse. Ramadan fasting causes many physiological, biochemical, metabolic and spiritual changes in the body. Ramadan Fasting increases the Red Blood Cells (RBCs), White Blood Cells (WBCs), platelet (PLT) count, High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-c), and decreases the blood cholesterol, triglycerides, Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-c) and Very Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (VLDL-c). Moreover, it reduces body weight, waist circumference, body mass index, body fat, blood glucose, systolic and diastolic blood pressure and anxiety levels. Furthermore, Ramadan fasting decreases the inflammation, pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1b, IL-6, tumour necrosis factor and cancer promotion. Among healthy adults, there are no adverse effects of Ramadan fasting on the brain, heart, lung, liver, kidney, haematologic, endocrine profile and cognitive functions. Ramadan fasting is a healthy non pharmacological means for minimizing the risk factors and improving health. Although Ramadan fasting is safe for all healthy individuals, but those with various illnesses such as diabetes mellitus, coronary artery disease, renal and eye illness should consult their physicians and firmly follow the scientific recommendations.
