What Would Happen If Humans Disappeared?

Today we are presenting you a video on an unusual topic. Imagine that all people suddenly disappeared from the planet.
The reason is irrelevant, just imagine the result. Now we are going to tell what is going to happen after we are gone.

What Would Happen If Humans Suddenly Disappeared?

It could be said that humans have really done a number on the planet. We’ve created a mess with our industrialization, the creation of toxic chemicals, garbage dumps and oceans filled with plastic, and giant urban sprawls that have eaten up big chunks of nature. With all this stuff happening, it might not be a bad idea if suddenly humans disappeared overnight. It’s obvious a lot of things would be happening during the cataclysmic disappearance. With that said, let’s run a mind-thought experiment and see what would happen if humans disappeared.

Imagine a world in motion. Humans are controlling all kinds of systems, vehicles, machines, and aircraft. If we suddenly disappeared, it is assumed that the machines that we are operating would come to a halt, but not without a lot of ensuing chaos. Airplanes would fall from the sky, cars would keep going in the direction they were moving without anyone to control or stop them, and machines we control to build things would either keep drilling, digging, or moving something. With nothing controlling these machines, there would be at least an hour to several hours of destruction. It would be a good thing that humans would be missing from this part of our disappearance.

This doesn’t even include factories, coal and power plants, gas works, oil refineries, nuclear power plants, and other industrial places that will have some sort of problem without humans at the controls. However, it is very probable that the lights will go out first, and likely within a few hours should we cease to exist. The only power plants that would still be making power would be hydroelectric plants like the Hoover Dam. These could provide power for months, perhaps even years without any type of human maintenance. Speaking of water, there are some places in the world that use pumps to keep groundwater from flooding streets and metro

Human beings are everywhere. With settlements on every continent, we can be found in the most isolated corners of Earth’s jungles, oceans and tundras. Our impact is so profound, most scientists believe humanity has left a permanent mark on Earth’s geological record. So what would happen if suddenly, every human on Earth disappeared? Dan Kwartler investigates.

If humans disappeared from Earth

In Alan Weisman’s 2007 book “The World Without Us,” the author investigates what would happen if humanity mysteriously vanished from the globe. The world we’ve built would start to decay immediately, though traces of our past would last for thousands or even millions of years.

Produced by Kevin Reilly. Original reporting by Kevin Loria. Special thanks to Emma Fierberg.

What if All The Humans Disappeared?

Several hours after humanity disappears lights all around the world will start to shut down since most power stations work on fossil fuels. Without people, there wont be anyone to charge them so they will stop for eight hours after registering a sudden drop in energy consumption. Moreover, all the nuclear power plants will switch to safety mode.

Two or three days after we vanished from the planet, most metros in the world will be flooded because the pumps that protect them from the underground waters wont work without people.

10 Things That Will Happen When Humans Go Extinct

What will the Earth be like when humans go extinct??
Subscribe to our channel:

This topic is rather morbid, but we do have a wild fascination for theories as to how our world could end. We have been taught for years that everything that begins must have an ending, and considering how long Earth has been around, the clock is ticking for our home planet. And because we are more fascinated by how things will end than just accepting our inevitable demise, hundreds of theories have emerged in order to try to hypothesize and make sense of it all. Just as the dinosaurs are extinct, everyone wonders for a period of time (or two) just how far away humanity is from extinction, and just how it will happen. Some of the theories are fairly peaceful, but there are others that are truly terrifying. Here are some of the most devastating ways that humanity could end.
The first theory is pretty real since we are in the midst of it; global warming. The years 2005 and 2010 were the warmest years compared to the previous century, and the result of global warming is bizarre climate change. With the funky seasons and weather conditions that have plagued us in the 21st century, one has to wonder if maybe we’ve gone too far with our pollution and are on our way to meet our end because of our own foolish actions. The next theory is death by asteroid, which is pretty scary considering that we don’t have much control over the course of massive rocks that could hit our planet at any moment. Our Earth and Moon have been hit with asteroids before, which is speculated as to that was what killed the dinosaurs.
The next thing that could wipe out humanity is a pandemic. With the Ebola scare, and other unknown illnesses that are killing people left and right, it is rather easy to spread a massive virus and do some population control. While vaccines are being perfected every day, they have to be updated annually because viruses and diseases are constantly adapting and evolving. That is scary in of itself right there. Speaking of illnesses, there has even been several rumors that the government is working on mind-control viruses as a biological weapon, thus setting off a zombie apocalypse. But let us not forget that we can also literally kill ourselves with nuclear war. With governments of various countries constantly pointing weapons at each other with veiled threats (for now), it’s only a matter of time before one side starts firing and sets off a rapid fire exchange of nuclear weapons, thus killing millions and setting off a nuclear winter that could last for years.
The next thing that could kill humanity is something that you are using right at this very moment; your computer. Computers are being used in almost every aspect of everyday life from work, to home, medical facilities, shopping, dining, and more. What would happen if computers would ever become aware? It’s not like there is anything that humanity could give back to them in order to survive.
From Mother Nature to our own hand, there are so many devastating ways that humanity could end. The question and mystery that remains is the how.

What If SCP 3000 Wiped Out The Planet?

For thousands upon thousands of years, throughout the tall tales of human history, the final hours of our species have long been lamented upon. Will we disappear in a blaze of cosmic hellfire? Will we shuffle from this mortal coil after the choking devastation of a nuclear winter? Or will our life-giving sun decide to spit forth an Earth-scorching solar flare and blow out this brief candle that we once called humanity? Whichever form the apocalypse would take, it need not matter though, because what we’re concerned with--is how our Planet Earth would fare *after* our species suddenly disappeared. So, I guess we better find out.

What If Half the Population of Earth Was Wiped Out? (Avengers: Endgame in Real Life)

This episode is inspired by what will happen in Avengers: Endgame. At the ending of Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos succeeded in using the Infinity Gauntlet to eliminate half of the Marvel Universe. But what if this happened in real life? Would you be able to survive? How would society function after such a decimation? And could this end up being a good thing for humanity?

Avengers: Endgame is a 2019 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Our world has approximately 7.7 billion people on it... until now. Half of the world's population has been snapped out of existence. Instantly. If you happened to be one of the 3.8 billion people left having survived this mass wipe out, what would happen to you and more importantly, would our planet recover?

12. Lights Out
One of the biggest things that humanity has done for itself is basically light up the world. Yes, the sun gives natural light, and it's beautiful. But only for about 12 hours in the day, and sometimes less depending on where you are. So, from Thomas Edison onward, humanity lit up and heated the world via electricity, and hydroelectric dams and all kinds of stuff. Since then, we haven't looked back.

11. Certain Animal Species Would Go Extinct
Surprised about this one? But it's true, there are animals in the world that are actually dependent on humans to survive. Many domesticated species such as cattle depend on us to take care of them. Another unpleasant category is parasites.

10. Pets Would Suffer
Speaking of domestic animals, this is a sad one, but it needs to be said. All over the world, there are millions, if not billions of pets. All of them taken care of by humans, some for thousands of years. We give them food, water, shelter, protection, take them on walks, etc. So, if humans were to disappear...what happens to the pets?

9. Declines In Certain Animal Species
I've talked about certain species going extinct, and others getting free, but there's a third category here that needs to be mentioned. Some species will see declines in their population without humans. These species include cockroaches, mice, rats, and certain other insects.

8. Structural Collapse
We humans love to build. We've built camps, we've built colonies, towns, cities, metropolises, and so much more. It's a true wonder of world to see just what we've built. But, if we were gone, what would happen to all the buildings and structures that we left behind? At the start, nothing. Time is eternal, but time also...well...takes time. So depending on what we're talking about, and whatever the structure we're talking about is made of, it'll take a while before anything happens to it.

7. Rise of the Plants
Here's one I think many people will enjoy. As a wise man once said, Life finds a way, but that has multiple meanings. Who says that life just means humans and animals? Plants are very much alive, and they're always growing in one way or another, even if you can't tell. Humans have to work hard to remove certain plants and vegetation from their buildings and lands.

6. Desert-ed
Brace yourself, Las Vegas is going to suffer. I know, I know, it's hard to think about Sin City meeting an untimely fate, but it's true if humans go extinct. For just as much humans help push plants back, so too do desert cities have to push back the sands of the desert. And without that effort, places like Las Vegas, and many cities in Nevada, New Mexico, places in Africa, the Middle East, and anywhere else that is desert will soon dry up and get covered in sand.

5. Nuclear Meltdowns
Humanity has made some things that are very much double-edged swords. And no, I'm not talking about certain foods that you regret eating...that's on you. No, I mean scarier things like nuclear reactors. These things do make a lot of energy, there's no denying that, but they're also one of the biggest risks in human history.

4. Global Warming Will End
How's this for an ironic entry? It's true though, if humanity is gone, that means that cars aren't running, factories aren't running, and a multitude of other things aren't happening that'll cause pollutants to be pushed into the air. Without all of these extra contaminants, Global Warming would sharply decrease if not end altogether.

3. Endangered No More
Remember how I broke down those three categories of what would happen to animals when we are gone? Well, there is one more category, but it's kind of nice so I saved it for last. Humans are great, but they're also mean, and greedy, and exploit the environment. Because of that, numerous animal species from all over the world have suffered, died, and have even become extinct.

2. Numerous Ecosystems Would Change
This one might seem obvious, but it's all about context. Without humans, certain things will grow, this I mentioned. However, there's a dark side to this too. Without maintenance, certain human structures will fail and start to affect natural ecosystems. For example, sewage. There are a lot of systems in place to make sure human sewage doesn't affect certain bodies of water.

1. The Oceans Will Thrive
I talked about all the things that happens above the sea level, but what about under it?
